Any details of firmware updates for these phones?

Also will the online update be available?

My K608i is R2L002 bugs:

1. If you clear your email inbox with send and receive and there is no mail to receive the phone seems to hang until you press cancel.

2. If you assign the right soft button it resets to the default profile selection after power on and off.

3. Font seems excessively large when typing SMS/MMS, yet is normal sized on received messages.

Well, there is another annoying bug on K600i and it has to do with upstream picture frame rate during a video call. Neither of the cameras, front or back, take any more frames per second during a video call no matter which setting for videotelephony picture quality you choose(sharp, normal or smooth), it`s always the same, that is of sufficient quality but there is no actual way to encrease the frame rate(because of the firmware bug) like it is possible to do on Z800i where at least the difference between settings smooth and sharp/normal is visible on the receiver`s end(smooth on Z800i is actually very smooth, it is even possible to read from person`s lips). That said, the decoding part of the video on K600i works great and the picture is of very good quality indeed and very smooth too, but only if you are talking to someone with a phone that encodes the picture in good quality and with good frame rate, for example: Z800i(with smooth setting), Nokia 6680(with upgraded firmware and in good light conditions), Motorola A1000,... BUT NOT another K600i!

K600i reboots when receiving large emails - I think just about anything over 250kb-300kb will reset the phone. Please confirm if this happens to your phones as well.

P.S. It fully reboots and returns to operational stage without asking the pin...

There is another bug with BT headsets. The phone causes the headset to disconnect when in stand by. This happens with all BT headsets. I wrote to Sony Ericsson regarding these problems yesterday and I am really curious how quickly they might reply.

@fifi24: I wrote them too. In respect to your problem - check if the power save option for BT is not activated in your K600. maybe this is why it disconnects.

Well, I got a reply from their Customer Care. They told me to contact authorised service in Slovenia (Svema) and didn`t provide any useful information. The Sony Ericsson service in Slovenia is terrible and useless so this case for me is closed. Judge, you obviously have more luck getting answers from Sony Ericsson support, try asking them about other bugs and possible firmware fixes. Sony Ericsson Z800i model has been on sale for over six months here in Slovenia, yet Svema still has no firmware updates for that phone and I fear the same will happen with k600i.

When using 'Clear Inbox' with Send & Receive the phone will hang at receiving if there are no new mails, you have to click cancel to drop back to the email page.

Problem with the golf game, try starting a quick play and the phone hags, now after several attempts to do this, the game hangs every time no matter which option I choose.

My K600 is switching off on its own about 3x/day. When i upload a wallpaper photo and try to immediately set it as the wallpaper the phone tells me the wallpaper had changed when it actually hasn't. The right side button functions even when the keypad is locked. But it's only the first thing that totally pisses me off.

BTW: it's my 3rd SE after T100 and K500 and all of them had the same automatic switch-off problem. I had been lucky with the T100 as i got it replaced, but by the time I bought the K500, Mobitel(service operator) and Svema (i live in Slovenia) got tougher with replacing malfunctioning phones, and now they simply tell me that they don't see any malfunctions, and that's it. You have to be crazy to buy a SE in Slovenia, because it most probably won't work right and you can forget about customer service (svema d.o.o.) . They'll most probably just laugh off their dirty rotten asses. I wonder if people who buy Nokia have as much trouble with their phones.

There's a new link on the Sony Ericsson support pages in the UK today for a software update service. It doesn't work yet and I check with their support and they said that it will be active soon with a new firmware version for the V600i.

Nice bugs, models being used and firmware that it happens on would be useful. Just ordered a sim free k600 first return to se since my f500.
