@orange, you're right, the panasonic x800 is smaller. I think most of us overlooked it cos when we think of s60 phones, we think of nokia. =)

if you want to show how rich you are, buy the 8800. if you like to fiddle or play with your phone, buy the N90. If you just want an advance phone for normal daily use get the N70. Simple isnt it?

@Cenfi>> When the N70 is available in your area buy that and the 8800 together>> Id wait on the N91 as no1 knows for sure how &/ IF the HDD within the N91 comes into play with how many apps can be run at once. Furthermore it'll most likely be the MOST expensive s60 to date @ release date.
for memory info:
TransFLash is officially referred to as MicroSD
TransFlash with a SD adapter can work in ANY device capable of reading standard SD cards (SDIO ports incl.)
RS-MMC/DV RSMMC (the latter is dual voltage) will work wiht an MMC adapter in ANY device capable of reading the standard MMC cards.
CAUTION: 6680/1/2, 6630/Music Edition (the latter is an exception reports state that RS-MMC non DV works), and the N70 all MUST use DV RS-MMC cards as their internal readers/writers use the 1.8volts not the standard 3.0volts. Lastly some manufacturers' MMC/RS-MMC/DV RS-MMC cards have issues being recognized in some phones. |

Does anyone have the specs of the N80 ? The N70 is nice indeed, but no hard-drive :-( Now that more and more manufacturers join the S60 gravy train I hope we will see lower and lower prices :-) How about a SE s60? And do any of you have any rumors about the N101 ? If I should'nt know better, I would think this is a Nokia/S60 ;-) -Judging by the number of Nokia postings-
Greetings from South Africa. Mario

@mib thx. i just hate that damn slider for the cam on 668 and n70 has got it too. it makes the fone pretty cheap looking imo.

@bobafett:
6680 cam slider cover is a bit filmsy. Hopefully N70's is better built. At least you dont have to worry about scratching the lens. |

the k750 solution is better imo how is the resolution of the screen? however 6680 has 262k display, its pretty crap, looks more then 65k. even 6230i display is way more clean and nice.

well, that's because K750/W800 screen is 40% smaller than 6680. So it should look brighter and sharper than 6680 since they have about the same number of pixel. |

I like this phone, and I never thought I would hear myself say that in my right mind!

N70 is a cool handset if only you have small fingers to navigate the keypad.
I've used the handset for a week, excellent features, but I'm disappointed about the keypad layout. the screen size is exactly the same as the 6680, strangely enough Nokia went smaller with the keypad size. so users with big fingers will definitely feel it awkward when sms'ing.

I had to quote this because this IS HELL FREEZIN OVER. Goldenface, Although I'd like to tell you more, I wont. I'll let you experience the N70 first hand if you'll just give it that initial chance.
@others (everyone else). Of course the screen is the same size, its the layout standard of ALL series60 devices. The screen size - physical is the same. The pixels can be increased though, but the N70 doesnt. It still has 256K colours but I'm hoping the resolution is cleaner. Also it should because the OS being Symbian OS 8.1 (instead of OS v8 on the 6680/1/2) will use the same menu as the N90 currently avail. The camera will be bigger aperature than all the others - except the N90/91. I expect the phone to be mint. If its garbage I may just jump ship!
The rumored N80 will be a slider but no built-in harddrive; thats reserved for the N91 simple!
