i think there are screen protectors available for the S700i like the ones used by the P-series. it makes the S700i's screen all the more scratch-resistant...

I have a screen protector on my S700i which I got from eBay.
The S700i screen is made of a special crystalline glass material (one day I will remember the name for it) which makes it scratch-resistant. Other phones (such as the K750i) are made from ordinary plastic.
Like one poster said, this is one of the reasons the S700 was so expensive back in its day. |

Sapphire crystal??
I got that on my clock, its great can try to scratch it with a screwdriver or a knife and it won't leave a mark.
Would love this material on phone displays.

i've had an s700 for 14 months and work on a farm drop it loads and the screen still looks almost perfect, paint work looks crap tho. |
