the p800 is or have never been delayed (not yet at least)... it was always supposed to come out in q3, and are we not in q3 now?

When Kurt Hellstrom made the comments on SE sales, he also said the P800 is to be released september. So far, SE has never officially stated anything other than Q3, so why assume the worst?
SE's problems are related to delays, not poor product, and their main nemesis shouldn't be Nokia, but Siemens, which is first in line to be passed - Personally I can't believe that Siemens sales more phones than SE. They haven't even announced a color-phone yet. |

I bef to disagree that se should keep at pace with nokia in producing and releasing its mobile phones in the market. if they will pace with nokia, they will go donw with enron (bankrupt part 2). se have diff. phones and diff. mkting srategy. im with you on all your concerns but dont u think they havenīt thougth of tthat? in regards to ad. and commecials, nokia is earning, thats why tey can pay anyone to display thier phone. the p800 is releaed is not elayed, thier just waiting for the pefect time.

well, if they pirate the marketing and brand manager of nokia, good.
i think SE is just extremely carefull in realeasing/producing mobile phone. SE seems to be a "preffered mobile phone" rather to be the "number one selling".
they have to distinguish themeselves from nokia. (its for kids)

I think they should pirate Ericsson's Industrial Designers... man their new designs are just crap... I will still buy the P800... but only for the functions... and don't give me that "The P800 still has more functions, I don't care if it's ugly" crap... mobile technology has already evolved beyond the features... people WANT A GOOD LOOKING MOBILE DEVICE. If you don't recognize this... then your mobile company is doomed. |

I used to think that Ericsson makes the best cellphones in the world during the days of GH337/388 but it's really sad to see the state that SE is in now. I feel that SE lost out mainly bec of phone designs. The menu navigation is fine with me and the build quality has always been good but there comes a point when the consumer looks beyond function. Admit it guys, SE designs are dated. By the way, I disagree that Kokia is ONLY for kids. Do you see any KID using say 6310, 9210, 8850, 8910 etc just to name a few? Not that they can't afford them but bec the designs don't appeal to them.

Well, I thought they were taking a good path with the design of the T68. It looks good, and it is good!
But now with the T300, what in the world were they thinking?
Nokia on the other hand pumps out good looking phones but feature wise is total crap, and build quality is not as solid as most Ericsson phones, but they sell!
Maybe that's what is trying to do with the T300? Doesn't really look good though...

NO. U see, is trying to do the opposite of NOkia ! builds ugly phones but with good features and NOkia builds 'pretty' phones with no features. I think the market in general likes the pretty phones. It would be nice if could sacrifice their profits a little and design good phones with their current good features ..... Hmmm if only ....
Dont you guys agree ?

So you're saying the T68 is ugly?
I think it looks great, and better looking than all the other Nokia phones.

I see a lot of kids with the 8850 here, it's actually quite popular because it's so cheap.
I'm sorry, my mistake, they call them the 8860 and 8890 here.

Whoa!!! Cool it guys! Didn't realise that you guys are so anti-NOKIA! To set things straight, I still like SE. In fact, I have no brand preference. I just buy whichever phone I consider "good" at the moment. For your info, kids here in Singapore prefer 3310, 8210, 8250, 8310 etc. In short, phones with Xpress on covers. Anyway, I shan't refer to the 'N' brand anymore as long as I'm on this forum. |

HEY! Deltayoda!! Watch it !!
You are forgetting that the T68i is from the T68 which was designed by Ericsson and NOT . Ericsson had great designs....but now they seem to have gone the opposite of NOkia as I have mentioned above !!
better design something nice to capture a bigger share of the market or else....
Personally I don't care how the darn phone looks as long as it is packed with features.... nice design is an added bonus
Well....$kew you if you don't agree 'cause its justzz my oppinion
