okay ryan, so what you are saying is that something I can do easily on my K750 (I just bluetoothed an mp3 and it's available through mediaplayer) can't be done on the W800?
Or that K750 can use mp4 files, but W800 can only use MP3 files because that's what disc2phone supports?
I find that hard to believe. In fact the specs for W800 on SE website say it supports AAC. If you are saying you need disc2phone then I think you are jumping to conclusions. Why would W800 be hobbled compared to the K750? If that was the case why would anyone buy the W800?
EDIT, sorry dude didn't mean to be down on anyone. I just think we should all try and be sure of our facts before giving advice to people about what can and can't be done.
Most of the threads to do with W800 have info on this. A simple search reveals these facts (I don't have a w800 but have read every post in every thread on esato about the phone, in order to decide to flash my k750 to a w800 or not, so I do have some info about it)

@numb thats cool mate ::-): i actually think i know what my issue is here, theres a problem about putting folders of music ie whole albums on the memory card and playing them through the 'artists' menu in the walkman. I just tested that i can play individual songs in the walkman player but i remember when i tried to bluetooth a whole album it said i must use disc2phone. i think masseur started a thread about this 'W800 Walkman Capabilities Disscusion'
@maxwedge yeh soz mate, i think i didnt understand my own issues earlier. Didnt mean to sound rude, as i say above there seems to be a problem with W800 playing whole albums through the media player. I can play individual mp3s in the media player....

Just checked it at work with random sample mp3 files at work:

Put it in the same folder, label the folder with artists name etc.
It does play! Works perfectly - we dont need to use Disc2Phone - WAY HEY! |

no probs mate
It is a shame that disc2phone is so limited. (I installed it to have look, pretty basic, although it is a free MP3 ripper). One of many disapointments is that you can't use it to create playlists on the phone.
Here's a tip that works on the K750, but I'm not sure how it works in the W800: if I have folders of songs on the memory stick, I have to create playlists on the phone and add those folders each to it's own playlist. Then you can play the songs in that folder (by using the playlist) without having to go through one big mass of songs.
Don't know if that helps at all.....
Note, on the K750, you have to store songs (or folders of songs) in the audio folder in MSSEMCMedia Filesaudio, or in the MP3 folder on the memory stick root... if you store them anywhere else you can't even see the files from the phone.

ahh i get what you mean. That sounds like a good work-around, but its a lot easier to have my albums in the 'albums' section, which is at the top, plus i really dont find the disc2phone software is that bad. I do agree with you that the major flaw with disc2phone is that you cant edit your phone playlists etc, that def should have been implemented. |

Ok to sort things out here..
YOU DONT NEED disc2phone!!
Problems many have is that they are moving MP3 files from their computer to the W800i, and then the phone cant play them in walkman mode.
Problem is:
You have to have the music in this order on the phone!
Artist/Albumtitle/Songs.
If you have Artist/Songs it wont work!

@Purx
Blinding mate! cheers for that, pretty stupid how you have to have an extra folder in there.

I'll eat the other half if that's true (numb can share if he wants). On my K750, as long as songs are in either the audio folder, or the mp3 folder, regardless of depth of folder structure, they are available in the media player.
So would the W800 be so badly DIFFERENT to the non-walkman K750, that this was the case? If it is done that way, can you select the folder from within media player without creating playlists? (In the K750 all the songs are in just one big list unless you create playlists)
Oh great Massuer, he of the W800 and K750 ownership, give us your wisdom! If He says it is so I will believe, if He says it is not so, then you can finish that humble pie ryan
