@Phantasm4489 there is no law against selling something twice. Obviously the warranty is void as the item is 2nd hand on it's second sale.
To sell it as an original W800 would be illegal, since that's a lie, but to sell it as a K750 that has been converted to a W800 is completely up front. Besides no one here is talking about selling it -they are talking about converting it for their own use. No one is trying to deceive anyone.... |

can anypone who has flashed the K750 with W800, does the active lense on the k750 shell still operate the camera, even after flashing to w800? |

yes i'm assuming that also, but do you know for sure or are you also making that assumption? It's just I've heard the W800 doesn't have an active lense..
thanks.. |

max_wedge: internally there are some diffirence in the chips that are used in the W800. open them both up and have look. unless you're to bussy with your important life
With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA |

Well that doesn't really answer my question does it?
and what makes you think I have a W800 in order to compare them anyway? Have you looked yourself, or are you just spouting crap?
Whether there are different chips or not is not relevant to a single thing I said. It proves you just wanna dis me buddy,
You don't have to hold grudges mate.
I've probably opened more phones than you have owned....

i very much doubt that the internals would be different. firmware is to a phone what drivers are to pc parts.
If the internals were different, w800 firmware would simply not run on the k750.
If youre so sure that the internals are different, why dont you take some pics and post them?

Good on ya, mate, glad you're a satisfied client of Ben's. Any chance he can work his magic and flash my Toyota into a Mercedes? :oj

I didnt mean it in that way. Bart mentioned that in the future there might be a law against flashing your k750i into a w800, so I was saying that perhaps there also ought to be a law against selling something (w800) that is essentially exactly the same as something else (k750) for more money. |

the w800i and the flashed k750is all have active lenses.... its a tiny little sensor on the back side under the housing which gets pressed in when u slide the cover or slide the button....
I have both the K750i converted to a w800i (all done with setool3) and a retail w800i an they both the same apart from firmware versions.... K750i conversion FW is R1K an the official W800i one is R1L.... |

Hey dude. All i can say is.
The music player is different, slightly better in my opinion.
There is a start up menu to select music mode or normal phone mode.
Also the activity button takes you straight to the media player, but flicking the joystick up takes you to a "more shortcuts" section.
Also the themes are different.
i say go for it, its better than the K750 if you ask me. PM me for details on where to get it done!
