@mazi, SE is aiming for 40 phones this year, I hope we will really see 40.

Dont think so..cause G702/P5~P10 seems cancelled and 40-27=13 - 2(unknown P& beibei) = 11

We must see 11 phones and IMO dont happen...only in best case 1 another announcement and maybe 3~5 phones...so:

27+5=32

Yes, but it may be the last one for the phones we could get our hands on till the end of the year.

So SE has announced more toys and still no hint of a decent smartphone.
Also, please someone anyone tell SE to put back the fast port at the bottom of the phone and sack whoever had the smart idea of putting it at the side.

Though I too am waiting for a decent smartphone, it is a walkman announcement afterall... that's been pretty clear from the start.

I actually like the fastport on the side... much easier to listen to music.

Hopefully we will see Pnext in September. When X1 was announced they said that P-line will still exist. I hope they didn't change their mind...

honestly i like a little balance to my technology, and frankly the fastport is a nuisance unto itself the connector is WAY WAY too large and adds and extra 1.5cm to the bottom/side of the phone.

id like to see a more mature take on the fastport cuz it cant be me that thinks it should be "flush" with whatever side its on.

personally would like it to be on the bottom however.

I like the idea of having it on the side. Only problem is it affects the usability abit for left handed people. That is unnecessary when surely there are alternatives:
a) at least add a 3.5mm jack so this isnt a problem while playing music
b) use a smaller connector in place of the fastport
c) move the fastport back to the bottom

There are several reasons as to why they're using the Fastport connector;
- It can be used for powering accessories, including headsets
- It can be used for adding extra functionality to a product, such as with the latest noise cancelling headsets, where the phone acts as the processing unit, and not the headsets, making it possible to produce smaller and lighter headsets
- It's a stability issue

The list goes on, but I'm too tired for continuing. Night, everybody.

I'm not against fastport, I just don't think the side of the phone is the right place for it. Often I listen to music or FM with the phone in my shirt pocket, you can see that the port at the side can be a nuisance there. Having the phone upright on the stand is also convenient as you can actually see messages etc. I guess there is no such thing as a stand for these models.
Anyway, so it's September we are waiting for is it?

I don't mind the fastport at all, in fact I quite like it. But that may be because I don't use my phone for music - I have a proper MP3 player for that - and also maybe because I ain't left handed. It looks like it would be a real pain in the arse for lefties, especially on the models where the fastport is situated close to the bottom on the left.

The W910i for example seems fine when I use it in my left hand, because the fastport is higher up. Any lefties wanna have a say?
