If SE sticks to current design team and management there's definitely no hope for them.
SE designs still the beautiful in the markets, but SE recycles phones every year with no improves.

Quite true. One thing though, AFAIK, the W980 doesn't have a DSP chip and it still does a better job than an iPod (as stated by GSMArena). I think we should just wait and see.
I'm also pretty confident that the W902 will look pretty darn good on those official pics. Happens every time.

The only 'beautiful' handsets to come out of SEMC/(J) have been the T650i, W62s and C905 as of late.

LG phones are nice too (although a bit on the crappy side). They've got sleek designs.

SE definitely has to change some things. Tougher market conditions and a bad European economy growth aren't good enough excuses for their incompetence. They have to do something revolutionary and innovative like they did some years ago but they seem to hold on doing that.
The average consumer doesn't care about a DSP chip. Most of them don't even know what that is. But the W902 will still sell well enough since it's Walkman brandedand has a 5mp camera.
On a side note SE seems to do quiet well in germany especially with the younger customers, since most of the phones I see people using here are Cybershots or Walkmans. |

I think it's time this thread was locked for good as over the last what 100 pages most of the discussion has had nothing to do with the phones SE are releasing in 2008.
If people are going to post this talk in this thread refusing to use the one provided, then lock this one please, it's getting harder to find posts relating to the original topic IMO. |

Well, I dont fully agree with that. You are right about the negative comments, and them not really belonging to this thread. But at the same time, those comments arose as negative feedback from members due to leaks depicting what have been interpreted as sub-par quality products. Noone would say these things if we liked what we saw in the leaks. Since this all comes back to that, it is relevant to an extent.

Linda and Feng actually look pretty nice. The leaked pics are just horrible  There's also a colour variant of Feng that looks extremely like the W890.
