NZ looks really great in the ads we have on TV.
We don't get to see those ads. Have they been uploaded to You-tube? Could you post a link perhaps?

I see Winston's gone.
This National Govt is going to be even better than I hoped for. It's unbelievable how arrogant Labour continue to be, Annette King is just despicable. Phil Goff may be the front runner for the leader's position but I doubt he wants it. Let's face it, the position of Labour leader is a hospital pass for whoever takes it up. National have been handed a mandate for change and barring major calamity, the public will give them a second term to finish the job. Every govt gets a second term, a third is hard to come by.
Labour have alot of rebuilding to do and no amount of glossing over it can hide the truth. Key bringing the Maori party into the fold could kill off Maori support of Labour if handled well and serve as a template for other ethnic based parties wanting to work with a National led government. If it works, Labour could lose alot of crucial South and East Auckland support.
I think Mike Williams should go, he is a liability frankly. Its funny watching the Leftists running round trying to explain away this political anomoly as a temporary thing and Labour as being finely poised to swoop down on an evil, fear inducing National party... what utter tripe!

Well the way you put it makes it seem a lot better. Too be completely honest, I don't have a huge problem with National being in goverment, I just really really don't like Mr. John Key!
Haha I can't get over last night in Playtime. I needed 12 points from 4 Playtimes just to equal PK and force a play-off for the C902. That means I needed to win maximum points in all 4 Playtimes.
And I very nearly did it. I got 3 points in the first three, and missed out on it by one single post in the final Playtime!
I am happy with my T250i prize.

You won the T250? Wow!
TBH, I haven't been following playtme at all.
I guess that explains the avatar, I thought it was a Quantum of Solace C902 (doh! for typing Casino Royale )
Well done!

Thanks!
Indeed I did win it! Kinda annoyed I missed the C902, as I was winning it for my girlfriend who needs a new phone desperately. And also because I came so close! But I am very happy with the T250i anyway and it will make a very nice back-up phone for me.

Doh! got that one wrong.
But this in the NZ Herald makes Goff look as weak as dishwater:
Mr Goff is being widely tipped as the frontrunner for the job. He accepts he is in the mix, but says the decision is up to his colleagues.
"I've always gone along with what caucus has wanted. I'm a loyal Labour Party person, it's my family, and they will make the decision," Mr Goff said.
"Whatever decision they make, I will be supportive of."
What a wimp. Can't wait to see how he fares in election debates in 3 years time

Computer monitors I think. Though I think the bottom one actually has the computer built into the screen, much like the new iMacs.

I saw a touchscreen HP computer like that recently, all built into the screen. The TS was not as good as the iPhone though.
I'd like a laptop with a twistable TS which becomes a 15.4" tablet. With Windows 7 installed. And 4GB RAM, Core 2 Duo with 320GB (or more) HDD. And the money to pay for it...

Carkitter has had a great idea for the first post of our New Zealanders thread, which you may have noticed has gone back to a 'work in progress' status. His idea is to have a map of New Zealand which would have numbers placed on all the main locations.
Below the map would be links corresponding to the numbers on the map, and these links would lead to our very own photos of these locations in the Esato phone photo section. The catch is that these photos must be taken by Esato members, and they must be taken with a Sony Ericsson phone!
I have already put in the map, and carkitter has provided me with some links to his own photos. The map is up too but as it is late, I have run out of time to add anything to it yet. Please, if you could, go have a look and give me some feedback on the map and the slightly changed layout of the whole first post. Bear in mind that the banners for each section are all going to be changed, so ignore those at this stage. Also, PM me the links to any photos that you'd like to see added!
Cheers!

Very nice. I have a some comments:
"Each link will take you to a photo of that location which was taken by a New Zealand member using a Sony Ericsson camera phone."
I think we should change this to 'Esato member' because I would like members from overseas who visit NZ and take photos with their phone to submit links too.
I'd also like to see more use of white space.
I'm viewing this on a 19" 3:4 monitor at the local library ATM and it fits the screen well. It also looks great on the iPhone.
Perhaps the links could be written in the colours of the rugby provinces? Navy Blue for Auck, Burgundy Red for North Harbour, Yellow for Waikato, Black for Wellington, Red for Canterbury, Blue for Otago, for instance.
You've put in alot of work already M-O and are doing a great job. I really appreciate it.
