i just hope they come up with some good firmwares for the k850....i just feel that with new firmwares they will start campaigning a lot more....
Talking about K850 f/w issue in this thread? Please, don't.
from my observations, sometimes it's better off not knowing. |

Is Tyra likely to have a newer UIQ than the P1 or would it be the same? I guess that it will be worse than the P1 in terms of the camera for example but they may add a few new features. Any ideas? |

I dont really care about the second rate phone camera usually installed in a common mobile phone, what i care is the CPU as well as the RAM and the OS which are very essential for SE's step towards improvement and innovation in performance aspect of an smartphone i would love to see that Tyra having UIQ 4 and qualcomm snapdragon alongside with ATi graphics chip inside and also a 128Mb RAM - that's enough to make me restless like kids waiting for christmas just imagine how P910 outperformed 7710's goodies(like 1mp camera, EDGE and higher res display ) when it proved to be more reliable speed/performance wise than that quantity packed ill fated 7710.

Anyone seen this one before? Claimed to be a slider 5 MP Cybershot. Just wondering if it is a Photoshop concept from one of you at Esato.

Looks a lot like one. The design is a "pimped" T250: keypad and softkeys are clearly from this phone. |

That means it by no means is the speculated 5 MP slider cybershot, eh?

Woah! Imagine, I found it at a Chinese site that usually is very accurate when it comes to speculations. Why don't we start inserting some sort of watermark to concepts on Esato...
For a moment, I thought we have a new phone over here...

A lot of stuff from here ends up on that site se.it168.com.
A 5mp slider would be a good move and rumour has it this is what might be announced.

What makes you say this?? Would a candybar(N82), tablet(Viewty), or clamshell(910SH) not be as good a move??

I doubt a clamshell would, very much. I'm not sure the technology is there yet to create a 5MP clamshell slim enough and small enough for markets outside Japan.
A 5MP cam and a larger touch screen are what people are most likely to want to upgrade to and I can't see a large touch screen appearing on a candybar.
To me a slider is more likely. Just my opinion however.

You'd think that by now, poeple would realise 'small' and cameraphone don't really go together that well(well, if you want the camera to actually be any good)......
(910SH isn't that big, tbh...however the cam isn't that good, either)
For a TS, I'd say a Viewty/F490-style tablet would be better than a slider(if you want TS anyway, why need a hard keypad and extra sliding mech, plus extra weight, and cost??)......
All speculative, obviously!

Well from Sony Ericsson's few comments around the iPhone last year, their philosophy is that a device would always have to be a good 'Phone' first of all, so I don't think a high-end tablet style device fits in with that - unless it was a one off reaction to the iPhone in a Walkman guise. I still think it will have a hard keypad.
I would suspect a flip or Slider.

Their 'philosophy' used to extend to P-series...but we know what happened with P1......
I'd personally love to see a flip , yet on a camphone, I can't see it being particularly advantageous over a normal candybar. However, I know that all the other manufacturers have high-spec sliders on the way, so it's more likely that SE will have their own 'N95', as it were(although not necessarily a smartphone)......
