If you dont mind me asking...
How did you order your replacement ?
what department was it through and what was your method of contact ?
Will help me decide wether or not just to cancel now. |

i dialed the new o2 number and listened to all the options, so i pressed '0' for 'all other enquiries'. then i got through to a man and told him 'my phone has been crashing'. he asked which model, i said the k750 and he said 'i'll dispatch a replacement out to you now'.
really simple! |

You see 'the operator despatched the replacement now' but he will only receive it on the fourth of July just in time to take some pictures of the 'american independence day' ;-)

I just phone o2 complaints dept...they said 4th july but also said that unless i had previously complained about the phone this would be outside the 28 days replacement period....i said i had so it was ok...
But be carefull ... after 28 days they can offer to repair (ie send back to o2 and get flashed) rather than replace
I am going to go to the o2 store where bought it from and point blank ask the manager to confirm they are waiving this 28 day limit and what i am getting as an apology for the crap service.

He probably said that assuming that they'd have them in stock, and maybe he didn't know about the problems? Did you question it? |

ive just spoken to Liz a very lovely lady at O2 customer services and she read me what information she has recieved from O2 which says the phone is still being tested by sony ericsson and if it passes the O2 tests then they will send them out on the 4th july, but delievery could be 7-10 days after the 4th of july. so we could still have a long wait ahead of us

no, the guy i spoke to said 1-3 days (unless he's lying to me) and i asked for a delivery number and he gave me a tracking number!! how weird is this! i bet i'm getting a returned one back  |

Interesting, O2 shop are saying they are dispatching direct from Sony now. Can expect delivery within a week. However, he didn't sound like he believed it himself. Going to get back to customer service and find out what's happening. |

Just sent the following email, will see what they say...
I have been waiting for an upgrade since the 3rd of June and have had no correspondence at all from yourselves regarding this. I would like to know why, even though you are advertising the phone on your site, you are not honouring continuing contracts.
As it is over 3 weeks since I arranged the upgrade I would appreciate a reply in this matter so I can choose whether to move networks. (as you have failed to provide within your stated 5-10 working days)

Just got mail from O2 saying it has been despatched, not holding my breath though as the stated delivery date on the mail is the 16th of june =P (original expected delivery date).
Time to peer at DHLs tracking system ever y half hour or so !

New contract, last tuesday, was supposed to be pre 10am thursday delivery (the source of all my fury as I now know they knew they didnt have any well before that and they took my money for it !)
I wouldnt go crazy till...
a) I manage to get a response from the parcel tracking
b) i have received it and checked the firmware version, this could just be a screw up and I could end up with one with dodgy firmware, nothing would surprise me having read back through this thread. |
