Im not going back on my statement, let me clarify what I meant, I mean putting existing technology (which are not usually in handsets) into handsets are innovative ...
But then this would be new technology. A camera is not new technology, a camera that has the ability to make a phone call is. A phone that can make phones calls is not new technology, a phone that can take a picture is.

by technology, I dont mean to go as precise as memory sticks, lets call it expandable removable memory, and it was already done by Sony,
So in other words what you are saying is that you will pick and choose what constitutes technology so as to fit your argument? The memorysticks Sony used were full sized memorysticks, not the smaller duos, therefore one can argue that it is a new technology. An abacus will perform the same basic function as a calculator, but they are different technologies. |

No Im not picking what is innovative and not, I didnt mean memory sticks in particular, I meant "expandable memory as a whole (removable) was done before, and not going into detail as their size etc. I dont think its innovative to reduce the stick size.

and the camera feature, putting a camera in a phone was innovative, going to megapixels was slightly innovative, then increasing megapixels less or not innovative.
But then Ericsson never put a camera in a phone though, Sony Ericsosn continued where Sony and Ericsson left off.

YES Putting the camera in the phone is innovative, but was it the first camera phone? No it wasnt.
But yes I agree with you the camera phone is an innovative product. But SE werent the first.
S4K1S,
SE are the most innovative Aesthetic designers for handsets, in my opinion, all their phones are way more sleek and sexy than the rest.
VIVEK
Yeah the whole Dual Interface design is the best CAM/PHONE style.

in the field of innovation i will say samsung is the best
SE has to work hard a lot to be the world's best cell phone company
ask urself what SE provides u than wat other companies not lyke nokia/samsung/LG ?
nokia 7710 beats p910i so lets not talk abt 9500 which has wi-fi
Samsung d600 beats p910i again and d500 was choosed as a the best cell phone of the year by GSM awards
dunno much abt LG but yes it ranks 3rd best cell phone company and den comes SE
innovation has to be seen everywhere... camera / desgin / technical issues
s700i iz a true good SE phone but yet SE bastards made it NON-SYMBIAN phone dats pathetic because s700i won many awards and its truely amazing cell phone i wud loved if it wud be a cell phone lyke p910i...it wud be awsome...
in 1 way SE looks for profit fair enough but ders also 1 thing not REAL satisfaction today if u got any SE cell ur not 100% SATISFIED.
k700i lacks memory slot card
w800i lacks UIQ
k750i lacks UIQ
p900/p910i lacks wi-fi / edge
s700i lacks UIQ
t610/t630 lacks memory
i agree dat none of the cell phone in the world can have everything but here i m asking BASIC need
how can k700i lacks a memory slot card when it supports everything
how can w800i/k750i lacks UIQ when it got features lyke a smartphone
how can p900/p910i lack EDGE forget wi fi when s700i has? and forget s700i a smartphone dosnt has EDGE? rubbish
how can t610/t630 can have only 2mb? wat? 2mb iz enuff for a cell phone which supports polyphonic ringtones/ which has mms + e-mail which consumes lot of mbs / also supports java?
u see having everything but lacking 1 thing makes SE worst
T200 -> T68i -> T610 -> K700i -> P910i -> W800i -> P990i -> M600i -> P1-> Nokia E71 -> X1i -> X10 -> Arc S -> Sony Z1 -> Sony Z Ultra -> Sony Z3+ -> iPhone 6 -> iPhone 7 Plus -> iPhone X -> iPhone XS Max |

But I think a phone that snaps pics, should have expandable memory, so everyone can have as many pics as they want.
COME ON K750!

SE's K750 will sell very good, but i doubt it can do better then the T610. there's just to much competition, and the K750 could've been better, a few little things can make much diffirence.
i like the W800 more but i'll probably go for the N90
on topic. i wouldn't say that SE has never been innovative, cause they've got some nice acc. but when it comes to phones i would say they haven't yet been innovative.

no, don't like the N91, its slider, doesn't like ergonomic, small buttons, not sure about the software going along with the hardware.
N90 will do for me. N91 is still along wait, by them better ones could be presented.

how many CEO's know what ericsson had ready? how many CEO's know that the P800 mainly comes from ericsson?
SE's P910 is loved by bussinespeople and for that reason the see SE as an innovative company, those's CEO's don't know whats really going on.

i'm not saying CEO's are dumb, they just don't have the time to keep track of everything.
i met a microsoft product manager who didn't even knew the impact the ipod had on computer sales. 1-10 ipod users bougt an apple, 1-5 is thinking of getting one. we all know that but most bussinespeople don't.
