Dear boy,
There you go AGAIN calling people whorshipers instead of actually stating facts or reality. You can CLEARL Y SEE lg's arena browser is slow and clunky in the video. The guy says it himself simply because there's no hidin, plus the lack of the double tap make the browsing experience slower and less accurate. This is a totally objective, unbiased view of the video.
I critized LG because they could've made a much better browser with that hardware, it's sloppy work.
Another fact is that apple is known for it's software while lg is not. Another fact, kiddo.
You are the one who can't accept critics and judges everything with biased eyes, not me. |

As I mentioned in the other thread, that's actually most people would technically call "a lie". That review makes absolutely no mention of the iPhone browser, and doesn't actually refer to it in any way whatsoever. What it does do is pretty much slate the Arena's browser, pointing out the awful lag and the way the processor is clearly "grinding" its way through the job of displaying pages. The only thing the reviewer notes which makes other phone browsers seem "clunky" is the pinch to zoom feature which, of course, LG borrowed from the iPhone's very own Safari browser.
But of course you'd realise that if you actually knew the first thing about the iPhone, wouldn't you?

It is funny how you find LGs software crappy when it is absolutely brilliant, and when someone who has tried both the Arena and the I Phone finds the Arena to have a better browser, you just disagree to defend your crappy I Phone.
No Bhavv, what's funny is that you can so totally misunderstand a mobile-phone's-for-dummies clip from BBC Click, while expecting us all to forget your very own review of the LG's "absolutely brilliant" software -

Ok, now I found a major problem.
The internet browser is impossible to use comfortably. Zooming in and out on every single page is tedious and time consuming, and it too difficult to click on links, particulary those little thread page numbers, which are impossible to click.
I will have to use my T700 with a 3 PAYG sim for mobile browsing, and the LG for just multimedia and modem use.
I'll complain about the browser to LG support tomorrow.
See Bhavv, I don't even need to make it up!
I wonder if you're deliberately trying to misrepresent that BBC reviewer and put iPhone quotes in his mouth, or whether you're just at the point now where you see the iPhone in everything? Perhaps the real question here is why the iPhone's still so relevant to you, Bhavv?

I'll not disagree with you to some extent, but why not rise above it and occupy higher ground, rather than slugging it out ad infinitum, your just both banging your heads together needlessly for the annoyance and amusement of others.

I used to think that Esato's iPhone guys are annoying, but now I find their posts as quite entertaining. They can be intelligent and funny at the same time, which is a rare trait among us cellphone freaks. |

And let Bhavv have the last word, which would presumably be "So you agree that the BBC and the whole world have all shunned the pathetic iPhone which only sold three handsets anyway and has been universally hated and scoffed at by all modern free-thinking people and was irrelevant and ten years behind the Samsung Tocco and isn't even a phone anyway and probably never even existed, in favour of the amazing new LG Arena?"
Um, no.

Relax, man. Either way you're still gonna enjoy and be proud of being an iPhone user, right? Can't see nothing wrong with that. But you can't keep bashing Bhavv's preferences, who obviously has a rather sturdy opinion on his phone of choice. Just my 2 cents. |

I don't really think this is about my pride or Bhavv's preference to be honest. I'm happy that Bhavv likes his Arena, the iPhone's not for him and I completely respect that. All that riles me is Bhavv's apparent contempt for anyone who holds a different view, or has different priorities in their choice of phone, and the absolutely ludicrous lengths of self-deception and misrepresentation he goes to in order to get his point across.
If and when he stops posting nonsense, I'll stop pointing it out as nonsense. Can't say fairer than that, can I?

Oh, but you see, my posts are only nonsense to the apple fans, I dont see anyone else going as crazy as you are over my simple opinions on a rubbish Phone.
Lets say it again, the I Phone is completely rubbish. It has been since it was released, it always will be, and its fans are fed to and continuously spew out the same hype and marketting crap that steve jobs does.
Yes I found my first touch screen Phone difficult to adjust to, boo hoo, Im over it now and browsing the internet easilly.
Cant say the same thing for I Phone users though, hey, where is your video demonstration about the rubbish I Phone browser?
It seems to me from the video I posted that the 'I Glass' is a feature on the I Phone which is refered to as clunky, and worse then the Arena, and yet you have no actuall factual evidence about how much better your UI or browser is, all just plain hype that you expect everyone else to believe because you say so.

In case you didnt understand the title of this thread, it says 'What makes the I Phone more relevant then others'.
Key words - I Phone, and others.
This is not a thread about the I Phone, it is a thread asking to compare it to 'others', like for example, the LG Arena.
My opinion is that in comparison to the LG Arena, the I Phone is a piece of crap - heck, even in comparison to the Nokia N95, the I Phone is crap.
If you dont like this comparison and find it offensive, then why are you reading this thread? The joke is on you, please continue embarrassing yourselves. |

Hmm.
Lets say it again, the I Phone is completely rubbish. It has been since it was released, it always will be, and its fans are fed to and continuously spew out the same hype and marketting crap that steve jobs does.
And it's your rational and objective approach that just keeps on winning people over.

This is actually hilarious. Anyone who's followed the link you've posted to that BBC video can see exactly how poor the Arena's browser is, how it struggles with every zoom and swipe, and what a sad, slow imitation of a real browser it really is. Meanwhile you're actually trying to suggest that iPhone users are crying into their Safari over this? Are you actually sure you've seen an iPhone?

Priceless. It seems to me that "I Glass" is a feature you've just invented, and which you've assumed to be something to do with this mythical "I Phone" you keep hearing about, because it sounds like it begins with the letter "I".
I'm pretty sure the rest of the world understood that the reviewer said "eyeglass", meaning the magnifying glass symbol which some phones (and a lot of other software) typically use as a symbol for zoom, point being that the Arena doesn't need one because it has pinch to zoom. A feature which began on the iPhone in 2007, which doesn't have a button either!
