Why do you choose SE over Nokia? |

I picked  instead of nokia a couple of years ago when I bought a w800. I did it because the design was cool, I liked the UI, the camera was the best, it came with a good amount of memory, good headphones and it was a solid platform too (I remember thinking it was pretty cool being able to minimize a java app lol). After a couple of years and a couple of releases from I realized none of the new models were better than my w800 as a whole package. I ultimately gave up for lack of anything interesting and went the Apple way. I have an iPhone 3G now after a 2G last year and the damn thing is brilliant. The combination of iPhone 3G+jailbreak+cydia+appstore is simply amazing, I highly recommend it. |

Well I actually started picking up SE for the exact same reasons as you SloopJohnB.
Nokia 3520 > 6600 > W800i > W890i > C702 > C905 > BB 9500 > Samsung INNOV8 |

This topic might as well be "why you prefer blondes over brunettes" or something as subjective as that.
Nevertheless it is funny how seriously people that this. In reality we should be happy we have diverse tastes, needs and interpretations of what good and bad qualities are. What if we all agreed on which phone or for arguments sake, woman/man we would want, then there will be a shortage. I for one applaud the diversity of us humans

I take it your refering to the call log icons? yeah slightly annoying that the call log only remembers the last number used for that contact even if you called them on four different numbers. This is more a 'log' application annoyance rather than a 'contacts' application annoyance though.
but yes, not having smileys sucks my girlfriend sends them all the time & i cant view them  |

I think thousands of people bought k750/w800 for similar or the actually the same reasons. Too bad couldnīt realize those reasons properly. |

I choose SE because SE is shorter to write than Nokia.

To me it is a pure fad. No reason they should do it (lower the spec) on purpose as N95 was their crown jewel at the time. It is most likely the limitation of platform. If they cannot do it better means they cannot. Period! Just the same as SE, if they cannot do better that means they cannot, period!

I was contempleting to get N96 but simply cannot make my self to buy one. I find it big and ugly (optical illusion). I dont want to live with ugly device starring at me everyday and I need to spend money on it.
I might get W995, Idou and N97 though
