@deluded - I am (was) seein' soooooo many members here who wanted to have the latest firmware on their fones . . . for what As a result SOME were havin' troubled-handsets after the ugrade . . . some DEAD units - worst One of the things that troubled me knowing are those peeps who have transformed their K750 to that of the W800 if they really wanted the W800, that's what should they have bought in the first place . . . not the K750 (and vise-verssa)

Im one of these people who has flashed a K750I to the W800Is firmware.
The reasons being.
1) The W800I looks bloody awful, Orange / White with a rubbish lens cover.
It looks like a Fisher Price childs toy.
2) I wanted the better media player & flight mode function from the W800I because the K750Is media player isnt that great.
Now I have a phone im 100% happy with |

@ahmed & deluded - Many thanks for the nice remarks mates !
As I have said . . . flashing firmwares from a W800 to a K750 (and vice-versa) is NOT that bad though as I have seen some NEGATIVE after-upgrade/transformation-replies here . . . it's really kinda RISKY So, before buying one, better decide 100% as to what really will SUIT your likes . . . specially, that of the physical fone appearance - fascia and all (features and functions too) . . .

@ahmedviking, don't worry mate, there's nothing wrong with upgrading your f/w, I recall posting the link to a thread on the latest f/w for you a few posts back. If you really intend to upgrade your f/w, do check it out as I think some of the users complained about the sound quality of the latest f/w in that thread.
The password keylock function you mentioned is something my 3230 used to have, though I used the normal keylock option as it's quite a hassle having to key in my PIN all the time. I always have my phone with me and hardly anybody lays his/her hands on it, so there's no problem with privacy. If it's security you're worried about, just turn on the phone lock and if you know you won't be near your phone for a while, just turn off your phone.
The screensaver is the right size for me, and if you noticed, the clock floats around the screen. If it took up the whole space, it wouldn't be able to do that now, would it? The main purpose of the clock moving around is to prevent burn-in of the LCD.
Reception and call quality is great, it's something I almost always take for granted, seeing that the main purpose of a mobile phone is to make calls. It's strange how the last thing I'd ask about when purchasing a new phone is the call quality itself.
@PowerLee, spiderizk, I can fully understand you wanting to flash your K750 with W800 f/w, I too feel that the K750 looks better than the W800. Personally, I'm not particular about the flight-mode nor the media-player, so the stock K750's good enough for me. I think the best part is that there's a "K750" to cater to all our different needs.
@QuickShare, I too am glad to see so many like-minded mates here contributing to this thread. That the K750 has been around for so long and yet still be going strong is truly remarkable. This thread is for all you K750 lovers! It's interesting to note that people (like myself) are still getting the K750 even now. To all readers of this thread, if you're even considering getting a K750, consider no more, you won't regret getting it.
@Jojo, I think I share the same train of thought as QuickShare in that you must be a loyal K750 fan. Even if you change your phones as you do with your undies, it's still says a lot that you're sticking to the K750 as your replacement phone.
Currently my 512MB MSPD is good enough for me, but with prices of flash memory falling all the time, I might just get myself a higher capacity one when the price is right.
Wow... This is a really long post, I hope I haven't bored anyone of you to sleep. Heh... I really love being in Esato, feels like a huge extended family. I hope this thread will continue to grow, cheers mates!

Well, it's been a month since I first got my K750i, I'm STILL loving it! It does all I need it to (except take my exams for me, which I'm sure it would ace if it were human, haha...). I'm looking at the CMT-60, seems like a pretty good buy, but I'm just wondering if I really need it. Anyone has any experience using it? Cheers!

I agree, K750i is an excellent phone. Had to keep my joystick clean though.

I've noticed lotsa dust/dirt getting into the joystick area too, but there doesn't seem to be any way to prevent that from happening.

@ahmedviking! Great to hear from you again! Glad to know you're having a good time with your K750 too! I've done a search on the forum for you, to confirm what I've read about the max capacity of the Memory Stick Pro Duo. In theory it should be able to take up to 32GB, check out this thread
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=123595#post1668719
and read the second post in particular.
Regarding the different brands of memory sticks, I believe Sony and Sandisk are the more popular brands. I'm using a 512 Sony MSPD, haven't encountered any problems so far. You can format the memory stick on your phone, just go to file manager and select "More", you'll find an option for formatting your external memory there.
As for your K700 that was stolen, it's not impossible for the person to unlock it and be able to access your data as I believe every phone has a master code, at least I know Nokias do. Hope that's been of help to you, ahmedviking. Enjoy using your K750!
