so what is the x1 if its not a smart phone?
As @Doministry pointed out, I'm talking about Symbian devices. There are better options than SE if I decide to go the WM way.
P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD |

I believe the W890 does have stereo speakers. >500 will know... He has one!
emmm but my friend has one and I see only one speaker So
maybe thats the "virtual stereo sound" what i said before.
From my last experience with a W890... The ear piece acts as the second speaker for stereo sound... I even tested it with an special MP3 track that is just been made for these tests. |

Random Theory: Eldar and others mentioned a G902 before, but said the G702 (BeiBei) and the G902 would cannibalize sales from each other (as I recall). Maybe this 2.4"-screened UIQ phone m-one talked about being announced soon is indeed the G902, and the reason the G702 was canceled was because SE realized the two devices were too similar. The G902 may therefore have UIQ 3.3 (quadband) (from BeiBei), 5 MP AF camera (from G900), GPS (from BeiBei), WLAN (with DLNA), etc...
Just a random theory, and not one necessarily grounded firmly in reality, but I hope something like it proves true.

Good thinking, that would explain a lot. Although making one of them Walkman would have differentiated then quite easily but probably too little too late.

talking about P or smartphone....why don't SE try a fashion smartphone
there just might be a decent audience for it.....hippy executive who want to do it all on mobile but same time look fashionable.
i donno....G700 or G900 look nice but it is just not fashionable...it is a very conservative design...I feel even P1 got more hip factor than them.
Paris is close to be hip but well it is not coming out |

I wonder how Phoner acquired that thing. I don't believe SE permits testers to sell their prototypes. Logically they should be returned to the company. Unless it's not completely canceled afterall then all the testing should continue.
If the Asia release of Paris is really true then why not?
We are all dissapointed by it's processor but overall i I'll still choose it over X1 because of its far better ergonomics.

@Phoner
Wow! that was quick!
quote of my post at uiqblog.
Phoner, I’m interested about it’s memory usage in SwissManager because the previous leaks we saw wasn’t running 3.3.
How is the overall feel and responsiveness now that it’s 3.3? particularly in opening one message to the next.
thanx man |

I can check Swiss manager usage a little bit later. I suppose all BeiBei leaks we have seen were running UIQ 3.3 (the new 12 icon menu, Opera 9.5, Widgets, a little bit different interface). It feels faster, smoother and the startup booting time is shorter.

yeah your right! i was thinking about Paris LOL.
I suppose it's free memory at startup is 96MB right?
If I remember it right, it was mentioned that more apps are automatically loaded at startup including messaging, notes, etc.. Can you confirm that?
thanks

There are no applications running at startup that can be seen through open applications menu. I will check later with Swiss. |
