You don't really expect a new UIQ device, do you? SE would be stupid to develop one at this stage, knowing that the platform is dead in a year...

Developement takes about 1 to 1,5 years
That means they've already a bunch of UIQ devices ready and one of them
will definitely be announced this month

HA!
The only question left is if this is going to be WORTH wait for P990/Pseries users....
Anyway, thanks to you m-one for this little hope!
@nettl
I didn't hope for too much since latest news are hard to interpret.
And the leaks are so incomplete.
My info was just opposite to the result.... So I don't know.
But 2 years of break from SE on Symbian? Hard to believe...

in theory, a good UIQ device with decent specs would, together with what Motorola will announce (their supposed "last stand") keep the UIQ ecosystem more or less ok, untill the transition to symbian foundation, that will be pretty much like UIQ2 to UIQ3, or even less difficult (between UIQ2 and UIQ3 there is no aplication compability at all)

I hope it's the Walkman flagship. And if this is the last announcement of the month, it would have to be.

Why would that be?

You hoping for Hecaro?

I guess that would be nice too.

At the very least, we could all stop talking about it if it's announced.

Depending on if/how much it's been upgraded from Paris, I may consider it as an option again.
