BTW, does anyone know what the expected retail price of the X1 is?
On Mobile-Review, they wrote 600-700 Euros. I am not looking at it because I have some accessories that are not compatible with X1 and I do not want to throw them away, e.g. HPM-90. |

I think he G series has taken over from the P series. But would you buy a Windows Mobile phone? I'm split between the G900 and HTC Touch Diamond still. I can't decide, even though I've never held either. I just know Symbian UIQ is better isn't it?

I'm not so sure anymore.
I'm also split, but between P1 and X1.
And I slowly turn into X1, just because it offers latest technology, is more advanced and has much better hardware. In fact it looks like a real successor of Pseries. The only thing - I don't like the slide-out keybards.
But G900 offers still 208mHz, no HSDPA etc... Just WiFi b. No flash support. Old crap, when you want a NEW device.
And Diamond has almost ALL what is needed! Nothing is lacking, maybe 5mpx camera. Great processor.
Plus - WMobile synchronizes well with the computer.
The G900 has wireless G as well as B. I also use a Mac so it wont sync with my compute anyway LOL. And I won't use HSDAP much as I'm outside a 3G area. But I still don't know, the X1 is stunning but I want something smaller. HTC have lots of experience in Win Mob devices and the Touch Flo looks great, but is it any good? There are lots of reports of the battery being rubbish and lasting a day only. I have only used Symbian so am unsure to switch. |

The X1 isn't that big... Its size is very comparable to a P1i:

I'm very keen on the X1. If I can afford it, I think it may be my next phone.

You mean SE is still distributing Beibei protos? I thought it's canceled. |

It is nice, but still big? Then again it has a keyboard, but isn't the X1 interface the same standard Windows one just with the panels to select your function? Not like the Touch Flo? |

They say that the panels are just different today screens with some functions to them. But Im starting to like the idea of WM because its the most powerful solution out there, allowing for most customisation and tweaking to your liking. With apps like spb mobile shell, opera mobile 9.5 and core player installed, it would suddenly become an incredibly compelling device. |

The reason why you're all starting to like the x1 is because now you have no other choice

I always liked it and was always considering it as an option. But I agree with the point you're making. I think the X1 will be more popular now, because people are going to be less keen on buying a UIQ if any more appear, which I presume they will.

No, I have a choice thanks, or are you now going to defunct the iPhone and all Nokia phones? I just like the looks of the Touch Diamond, however I know Windows Mobile is renowned not to be good. That is what makes it a difficult choice as it's a PDA first, phone second.
In regard to SE, I have no doubt they will continue to launch UIQ phones, and then they will launch the new Symbian OS phones in 2 or 3 years so they will always be offering a choice.

As I understand it, it's canceled for Western Europe, which means the major carriers won't get the phone, but it'll be available elsewhere, and also easily importable, same as Paris.
I really really like BeiBei. I may get it along side the C905 someday.

That and it has the specs everyones been asking for and the Ui looks like its improving in looks and speed. One thing I didn't like about previous Wm phones is the screen size and shape wasnt able to fit a dialpad and dial screen in properly but the wide VGA deals with the issue. The only problem is how often the stylus would be needed to do day to day tasks. Because its still designed for the stylus. |

@Londonlad
Yep, and that's the problem. The G900 has been designed to not need the Stylus any more, especially with the D pad. But the Win interface is not, I like the Touch Flo it looks great, but it's the same stylus driven interface underneath that comes from the Ipaq day's which frankly looks utter rubbish. |
