16GB is last years flavor, either impress me with 32/64/128 SSD at 1.8" all three sizes are available. again SE one step behind the leader. its not about following the pack as they prove year in and year out with the MPx count for the CS line, so why would storage be different? cost? hmph! another excuse. you create buzz and then use it to sell other phones but in order to create that buzz you have to excite, its like static electricity you have to keep rubbing the carpet to generate a charge and then ZAP! you touch someone else and pass it on, rubbing your feet a few times wont do anything but have the person next to you asking why your poking them ... with nothing to show
Yeah, wow - what - ONE phone with 16 gigs of memory? The N96. Which was announced when - this year, correct? So, how is this "last years flavor"? Pathetic.
im pretty sure the iphone came out last year 2007 (which was announced in the OPENING WEEKS of 2007 none the less) ... and got an upgrade to 16gb in 2007, so a touchscreen 16GB phone in 2009 is even MORE pathetic ... come on mizz. this is more like a cry for help than a battle cry.
you know how they tell runners not to look back, because it slows them down, well thats what SE is CONTINUALLY doing to the point where they are looking ahead to their competition but only where they stand, instead of where they are headed. theres a complete LACK of innovation. when they have an opportunity to lead they pull some diarrhea outta their bums.
and hey if im pathetic for proving my point, then it is what it is.

^um.. original iphone is only 8gb. 3g iphone is 16gb and will be out next month (mid 08), so a 16gb walkman flagship for late 08 or early 09 is not that bad.
in addition, the spec superior n96 is only 16gb, so if anything greater on a phone were the way to go, why not do so in n96 or 3g iphone?
EDIT:
@ kura998
As someone else said, what's the point of posting the proto pic if its already cancelled? We've seen this color variant before in a pic last week i think. Sure UIQ may be a DEAD GUI on its own, but SE is not stopping right now. They may still be finishing out their UIQ 3.3 line, which I would be happy to purchase as I am a UIQ fan. I'll look at the foundation offerings when it's available, and weigh the options then.
And I'm asking about Hecaro, which is supposedly different from Paris. So yes, Paris is cancelled, but Hecaro should be alive and well as far as we (the uninformed) know.

Although, I'm betting would be smart enough to add a memory card slot to their 16gb phone....hooray for expandable memory! |

@makbil
So, you got P1...
I was also thinking of it...
But I'm definately leaning into X1... It looks like a great device. |

thank you makbil, the original iphone was only 8 but they released a larger version afterwards. expandable memory is cool but what standard? SE has a hard time choosing lately. |

I don't see how increasing the space inside a phone is impressive. There are far more ways and better ways for Sony Ericsson to improve their portfolio. |

I think he G series has taken over from the P series. But would you buy a Windows Mobile phone? I'm split between the G900 and HTC Touch Diamond still. I can't decide, even though I've never held either. I just know Symbian UIQ is better isn't it?

I'm not so sure anymore.
I'm also split, but between P1 and X1.
And I slowly turn into X1, just because it offers latest technology, is more advanced and has much better hardware. In fact it looks like a real successor of Pseries. The only thing - I don't like the slide-out keybards.
But G900 offers still 208mHz, no HSDPA etc... Just WiFi b. No flash support. Old crap, when you want a NEW device.
And Diamond has almost ALL what is needed! Nothing is lacking, maybe 5mpx camera. Great processor.
Plus - WMobile synchronizes well with the computer. |

The Sony Ericsson P200(P5i/Paris) has been canceled , and only PROTOTYPES are avaible in the world.
So why post the pix......its no longer of any benefit to us. We are only interested in the new flagship...if you have any pix of that, then that would be much appreciated

PK said once that Paris has lot of "sisters", IT may look like Paris but specs should be different, why not ?? |
