Im finally running a custom ROM! Actually i did this earlier this week then flashed back to stock Samsung due to an issue i had with the ROM, but im now back on it and sticking with it.

Im running Slim ICS by Krarvind. Its pure Android ICS 4.0.4 the way Google intended it but with some addons by its dev. Them ROM altogether (Base, Essentials and GApps) is around 90mb, the base itself is around 44mb.
Loving it so far, its fast, lite and fluid.
Here's its thread at XDA:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1536783

And here are some screenshots i took of my setup:

Comes with an interesting Music player called Apollo

Customisable notification bar:

Slim ROM customising menu in Settings:

Bare Android4.0, im loving it.

Lastnite i had to revert to stock. The issue i had was that i simply couldn't send SMS, and that was VERY temporarily resolved and then came back. I tried wiping data, changing modems etc...the result was the same, if i try send an SMS the phone lost signal and would only get it back if i cancelled the sending.

Glad you like it, its a great ROM, if check the Update Me app go to Apps, you can install the ICS launcher from there and other basic Android apps.

I'm now on XWLPG with JKay framework (including his Deluxe Settings app) and SGS3 theme. All works perfectly and the amount of options in his Settings app is phenomenal.

I had that sending sms/loose signal problem on my Resurrection rom a while back.It had to do with my sims SMSC number that I had to refresh.Everytime I rebooted my phone I had to do the fix all over again. Was really annoying. What fix did you use?

Works like a charm! Thanks again!
Im loving this ROM, the speed and clean UI, its just amazing. Thanks to GO Backup i was fully setup in just 15mins as it backsup Contacts, Messages, plus apps and their data.

I see he updated the Apps list in Update Me with the default ICS Music Player, much better than Apollo.
