He also said that N85 would beat the C905. Isn't the N85 just 5mp? |

N85 isnt even an imaging flagship. Its the sucessor to the N81. WVGA screen i think.

Then I guess the N85 he's talking about isn't the N85 that has it's own thread here in the Rumors section, because that one has only 5MP camera and doesn't even have a WVGA screen.
But I really doubt if it even has WVGA screen. |

It does. Well I dont know for sure but Eldars word is god enough. Its not like if someone on here is hyping something up - its the real deal.
There was one other phone Eldar mentioned that that will beat the C905. Its 5MP but its using improved optics of some sort. This is what most are waiting for.

Why are we believing what some unknown person on another forum has to say then? When no one has seen this mystery Nokia? At least on here you can see photos taken with the X1 etc. Did we ever get any Paris camera shots on here though?
Sorry, just find it very hard to believe anything can knock this cybershot. 8Mbpx and Karl Zeis lens and from reports the firmware updates being applied are fixing more and more of the apparent flaws in the photos. (Pics look stunning to me as they are)
EDIT: Oh, it's Eldar from here? Does he work for Sony Ericsson? Or Nokia? Or is it just his personal views?

Would the new paris keep the same as the old 1.
Secondly maybe they thought if the c905 has such great specs how could they release paris atleast not matching them |

About the "N85". It's not gonna have WVGA but WQVGA. |

Well reading through this thread, seeing the different posts. I utterly believe that the Paris and BeiBei were never meant to be launched, just a test for people to see what they were like. To get public reaction. I totally expect them to be in SE's labs with new hardware and old hardware running the UIQ3.3 platform and UIQ3.1. I mean these are prototypes, devices used to test things. SE aren't going to tell anyone what is in there labs.
Therefore I also totally believe that this research has not gone to waste, and we WILL get a new top end phone running the newest UIQ with a very high spec camera and new hardware. SE managed to keep the X1 totally secret before launch, did it ever appear on here in any rumour before launch? So I have faith the SE know what they are doing, they are after something new and exciting like the C905. Not the same old boring Nokia in new dressings hahaha. But whilst Nokia has run out of things to put in a phone, SE has plenty of room to launch a killer phone yet.
EDIT: Oh that N85, I take it it will be the house brick the N93 was then? With optical Zoom. And I assume that post was just Eldars own opinion then?

apoloa, thatīs my point all the way, paris cancelation (or not), i mean, that paris with same old processor, does not mean they werenīt developing other projects with newer hardware at the same time |

You are totally right! Someone in SE know very good their job in business way of research.
But in technically way of research they are beginners in the center of the World (firm in the London my god).
Mass production of cars sorry phones is their only research! Two or three mistakes like R380, P800 and P910 with the try of good phones (and expensive) they correct very quickly in this year with the bunch of entertainment craps!
Good by my dear SE!

Do I understand you correctly? P910 was one of the best phones SE ever produced and they still haven't been able to match the level of that phone with respect to the time it was launched. Similarly, P800 was revolutionary when it was launched, something SE hasn't been able to achieve in the past 2+ years.
P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD |
