If Paris really was running on a new hardware platform do you really think it would be cancelled?
As for people here comparing iphone to the C905 is that really a fair thing to do given that the C905 is an imaging focused phone and iphone is a music, video and web consumption based phone. Those 2 phone are aimed at 2 completley different audiences. In terms of imaging iphone sucks of course but in terms of music, watching videos and surfing iphone 3g wins hands down. So whats your point anyway?

What proof do you have that it is cancelled? Until no proof can be provided, this discussion has no sense imo. |

i don't need a phone to take photos!(for that i have several cameras). i need a phone to organize my business life, and i want one from SE (and i insist in this) because i know SE is (for me) the best in smartphones!
iPhone will not be my ideal phone, but until SE decides to launch MY phone i am free to choose what i like! |

There's not even a shadow of a proof for that. |

That's what I am talking about, no proof but people all around whining (and some celebrating) Paris cancellation as if it was a 100% fact.

Eomer is one of the most to be trusted insiders. Did you read his sentence about Beibei and Paris? |

Guess I read it, cause I posted it here
Still I do not find that mysterious sentence to be proof enough to jump to such harsh judgments. It's possible he meant it in different way.

Bye bye Beibei too.
More info to come next week"

Motorola didn't cancel all UIQ phones this year, they delayed most of them.
Skarven and derivatives are frozen - but you can pretty much guarantee Skarven is dead. So is Paris and BeiBei from SEMC. |

I must say that I'm a little disappointed that the new C series is not UIQ/Symbian. I think it's one of the nicest looking phones SE have released, but I just couldn't do away with UIQ ( Although, I suppose there really isn't any need for a camera focused phone to need UIQ. |
