I would definitely choose W995 over N96 and Idou over N97, although I probably won't buy any of the two because I prefer smaller and slimmer phones.
I will probably buy C901 if it comes out, but unfortunately the destiny of this phone is uncertain for some mysterious reasons.

I disagree that premium headsets out of the box is all they have going. Try plugging HPM-77 out of a W902 box into a 'DSP' equipped, multimedia powerhouse N96 and compare. You'll then have the epiphany of how little you know.

Or an epiphany of how little YOU know. Get an unbiased pair of headphones and try out N95 or N81 or N91 or N85 with any SE you want. i dont know why people think pumping bass suddenly translates into good sound quality,
W902/W760/W980 against N95? Oh wait, N95 has dsp so no contest there. Pffh...there goes the 'sea' of knowledge you have.
my sea of knowledge is enough to drown you my man. All new nokia phones have DSP or some sort of dedicated audio hardware acceleration! No SE phone ever released had any DSP.
Take the very cheap 5320 against W902 which is twice the price, 5320 wins hands down.
Thanks for proving my point. You take in all the Nokia technological sales ploy seriously like some of the 16m colour displays which ends up looking bland beside some of SE's 262k screen. N95 sounds even worse than N96 where I did an apple to apple comparison with all 3 phones. Just drop your nonsense and go sleep with your beloved dsp tonight. Look, I wish SE would implement dsp in their phones too but I also give credit where it's due

I believe there is an actual DSP because nokias ACTUALLY sound better than SE. whether you want to believe that or not, i could not care less.

@QVGA, what u said is not actually true. My brother has both 5320xpress music and W910i. He is a nokia fan and he says the music quality of W910 is twice better than 5320. |

Even the 5310 beats SE's in audio quality.
Not exactly - figures below taken from audio lab tests taken by GSMArena. Link here :

Full audio review of the 5310 here :
http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_5310_xpressmusic-review-203p5.php
FQ - Frequency Response, low absolute numbers at either end are good
NL - Noise Level, the higher the absolute number the better
DR - Dynamic Range, the higher the number the greater the DR
THD - Total Harmonic Distortion, the lower the number the better
IMD - Intermodulation Distortion, the lower the number the better
SC - Stereo Crosstalk (signal leakage from left to right channel & vice versa), the higher the absolute number the better
------------------------FQ------------NL------DR-------THD----IMD------SC
Nokia 5310^^^^+0.29, -1.69^^^^^-94.4^^92.0^^^^0.015^^0.491^^-73.8
SEricsK770^^^^+0.21, -1.04^^ ^^^-85.7^^88.8^^^^0.014^^0.030^^-84.8
SEricsK850^^^^+0.21, -1.04^^ ^^^-85.7^^88.8^^^^0.014^^0.030^^-84.8
SEricW910^^^^+0.25, -1.25^^ ^^^-81.5^^82.7^^^^0.0071^0.028^^-81.9
SEricW980^^^^+0.31, -1.25^^ ^^^-86.0^^89.4^^^^0.037^^0.828^^-86.3
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In summary :
*the FQ of all the SE phones in the list are better than the 5310 which means the SE phones come closer to letting you hear the music as it was recorded.
*The NL (or signal to noise ratio) of the 5310 is superior to the SE phones.
* The DR of the 5310 is better than the SE phones, which means it reproduces quiet sounds & loud sounds accurately at the same time
* The 5310 is second to the worst in terms of distortion (only the W980 is worse)
* The 5310 is the worst in terms of SC

This is a sweet moment for me considering how arrogant QVGA has been. But I have to say, really, W910 audio stinks all the way up to high heaven lol

If people couldn't care less about a thing, why do they bother defaming the thing? The way I see it now, I kinda agree with the opinion that Eldar has been so harsh with SE because he was a true SE fan in the first place.
Why go into details of what Symbian devices can do? We all know that it's a powerful platform but if it's the ultimate OS, why are there sophisticated people (like Boinng and some other Esato old-timers) who go the Apple way?

Currently i have an N82 prior to that, a K800i
I miss the texting caperbilities of the k800. The ability to memorise your most frequently used words and add them with a quick right press of the dpad was fantastic. But the phone book on my N82 is aweswome. Being able to add almost infinite information & contact details i've found incredibly useful.
Didn't even think about brands when purchasing just went for the phone that best suited my needs at the time. Using this mentality i've never been disapointed in a phone i've owned. (yet)

Why? Widely asked and often. A cute question. Like why do you like this. . that or him . . . her etc. . . Liking is instantaneous. Random and not necessarily to be logical always.

N82, N95, and N95-8gb have very average audio quality, i think NOKIA did that on purpose cause the older N91 and 3250 had better audio quality, the newer NOKIAs based on Freescale CPUs like the 5800xm,N81, N85 etc. . .have amazing audio quality. QVGA im suprised you havent mentioned your Sam i450 that has IcePower Amplifier, one of my mates has it and its by far one of the best Music Smartphones to be released, excellent audio quality, and seriously loud, no SE Walkman can touch it at audio. lol this thread has totaly taken a u-turn the topic name must be changed

If you call someone on his landline, and after that on his mobile, you get the same icons in the call menu.
So you dont know which entry you have to use to call him on his mobile again.
This doesnt bother you at all? It was one of the main reasons for me to get rid of that POS.
And not having smileys in the text editor sucks too... |
