Hey guys,

I just got the W960i 2-3 days ago, I just have 2 questions

1- is there's a way to disable T9 typing when using external keypad ?
2- in non-UIQ phones, I can easly change the input language when I press and hold the # key, but now it bring me the other char's window !!, some times I only need to write few words, and it's will be much faster to use the external keypad rather than Virtual/Handwriting as both needs stylus... is there's a way to do so or any other shortcut ? infact the only way I saw to change the langauge is to make T9 think I'll use the other lang !! but I hate T9 and I don't think I'll fall in love with it any time soon or later !!

@ Xajel,

when you're using 'Handwriting' mode, use the keypad, it'll be on multi-tap which should be what you're after...

cheers

Xajel,
To disable T9, Tools>Control Panel>Device>Text Input. Don't think there is a shortcut to disabling T9, though.

I already disabled T9 and found a way to enable\\disable it quickly without going to control panel, but this is not what I want

I want a way to change the langauge while multi-tap, I mean if I'm using Lang. 1 and want to write something in Lang. 2, how to do this ? and to confirm in multi-tap only not T9 or Handwriting

Press and hold * to disable T9 and enable Multitap and Handwriting.

I know that, the problem is not this

I have two languages I use to write, Arabic and English, the keypad also has both of these languages the problem is how to change between these languages in multitap.

I know how to change it in Handwriting, and I'm not interested in T9 so the question is only how to switch between input languages in multitap...

That's not a bug. It's more a question of how the software developers decide to implement the different functions, you have probably open the pictures in the File Explorer were the zoom is'nt supported, in this case they've choosen to add the zoom-function to the Picture Gallery, located in Menu->Multimedia->Picture Gallery.

U have to update the firmware on the phone. The latest FW solves the problem deleting with C.
On P1 U can use "backspace" to delete. Not the letter C.

nope! When I'm on the inbox messages screen the highlighted bar scrolls down when I press for 3 sec the "backspace" key, no deleting feature!
By the way, my firmware is R9J005
