I haven't got my friends working either - going to post over on the
se developer forums and see what comes out !

What you need for games/apps are java versions, either JAD or JAR.

Finally have one. How's it been? I had a k700 before...

- Looks better every day, I had some doubts before, but it really looks good;
- keypad lighting is very very nice;
- Walkman interface it better than expected, is very much like the iPod;
- Despite what so many posters state, the iPod sounds much better, even with the same headphones; radio is excellent, even the AF works well;
- the general improvements over the k700 and even the k750 in the interface make it a real treat to use;
- Beautiful screen;
- E and SE have always been super at finding little tricks for efficient use of buttons that sometimes you found out only a year after using the phone and then couldn't miss; the w810 misses that feel; example: so many buttons lead to walkman menu, it is over the top; on the other hand they took over the only good idea nokia ever had: make better use of the on/off button by making it a shortcut to on/off and profiles or silent mode, that makes a lot of sense;
- where are those fancy new menus and the vibrating effect?
- excellent keypad but the k700 remains unsurpassed in ergonomics; the alloy back and the keypad with resulting balance and easy to hold top even the w810's design easily;
- the lens cover on the k750 was good not only to jide the lens but also to start the camera; slide open and shoot. With the w810 you do have to press some buttons first.
- glossy surface keeps you wiping all the time, which can be embarrasing e.g. in meetin etc; but i just can't stand the look of grease or whatever on that nice surface; same goes for camera lens - scratches no problem but grease... also you try not to touch the front panel which leads to having no good grip on the phone
- use as usb stick is a bit of a disappointment;

In most reviews you read statements about how the phone looks a bit weird but has a special feel to it; that you grow to like it because it is so well organised. That is absolutely true.

Obviously somebody JUST got the phone.
> plug in the USB cable and you get the CHOICE for Memory Transfer I think its called I dont even read it any more. BUT THAT gives you 2 windows for file transfer 1 for phone 1 for memory stick - doesnt get better than THAT!
> Themes gives you fancy new menu's try it sometime.
> I like the fact that many buttons get me to places. Shortcut menu beign seperate is the BEST! Walkman function & pressing it again takes me exactly to where I was before launching the Walkman function (whether I'm in the menu or in the calendar)!
> Press & hold the camera button for 2-3 seconds and it activates the camera - no issues, no need to miss lens cover save for pocket-dust.
> I found the K700 keypad nice as well, but start composing rapid SMS/brief posts wirelessly and you begin to love NOT have a stiff keypad!

Its all about choice regarding the menu & functions, this is why the W810 is SE's best seller this fiscal year.

I love my phone. Sound is better than most mobiles,much better than nokia and motorola. Something's bothering me though,everytime my inbox gets filled up,my fone starts acting up. Restarts on its own, or sent messages recipients indicated are different from those uv sent it to. What gives? Im afraid i have a virus or something. I couldnt get anti virus appz since its not symbian. Any ideas?

I got this phone as a free upgrade. I love this phone, I can't stop playing with it. I initially wanted the w800 but it was too expensive and then it
was discontinued. No regrets with this one, this is my first non-flip phone.

Anyone out there know if you can change the task and calender alerts?
