Downloaded it via Kies

Pda: LP7
Phone: LPS
Csc: LP5 (XEU)

@tranced. Only just finished the install. Took me 5 attempts to get it done cos Kies kept playing up. Finally done and took Kies 1hr inc a backup.
All my data except internet settings were still on the phone after updating.

The internet settings are not big deal compared to losing your data.

Anyone ever use MobileOdin?

I am going to try UK unlocked/unbranded version.

***edit*** I am now on UK unbranded version. I don't see or feel a difference.

Has your app/network problem been sorted out?

I don't know if this is going to help you but give it a try anyway to try and fix your network issues.

Settings > More > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > click on the APN you are using > go to Proxy and remove whatever is there and then Save.

I was having a problem where no images, icons, screenshots where loading in my Playstore. This fixed it.

Also the guy I got the solution from had a problem where some of his apps couldn't connect over 3G/HSDPA,only wifi. This fixed his problem as well.

Let me know if it helps.

*edit* I had an issue with Plume where I couldn't set it up over 3G/HSDPA only wifi.Did that Access Point Names fix and its now all sorted out.

Am now back with my trusty x10. My gs2 decided to put its launcher into an endless crash so couldnt do anything. Phone has got very hot as well qnd stayed hot until I pulled the battery.
Think im gonna try a complete reflash via odin tonight. See what happens. Hopfully it will cure the.problem.

Hobbs, sorry for not replying earlier. I tried removing the proxy setting in the APN and it initially worked but only for the first time.
Thanks though.

Rookwise, I hope you get it flashed and working smooth again. It is a great piece of machinery the GS2. I am now full time on Nova launcher.

Am just downloading ICS from sammobile now. 2 hours to go until the download has finished. Just keeps coming up with the prompt "unfortunately TW Launcher has stopped". Also had the same with the Ebay app and Facebook app as if everything had started randomally shutting down. The phone will boot up to the home screen but cant do anything as I just get the prompt after the phone freezes. It then tries to reload the TWLauncher and after 3 seconds I get the prompt again.

It was strange using my X10 again. Had to basically try and remember how to use it as this is the first time since October 2011. Found myself going too quick for the phone and the X10 felt sooo laggy. Also couldnt remember the screen being so dull looking. Guess I just got used to the SGS2 too much lol

My SGS2 is now back working. Ended up wiping the cashe and factory reset (vol up, home and power key) and seems to be working ok now.

Just had this nice MOFI case delivered for it as well
