this is why you shouldn't use your phone at a petrol station.
apologies for the quality, but it i had to use the small picture size otherwise the picture was too indistinct because i was shooting into the sun and the light colours "purpled out" too badly. i blew it up so you can get a better idea of scale.
actually, it's a shot of the abandoned Shell petrol station over the road from where i work. the place was closed over 12 months ago, and they have finally got around to flaring off the contents of the LPG tank. the flare was running for 3 days at that height before the tank was emptied for demolition. bear in mind that the average road tanker carries two to three times the amount of LPG stored at a servo next time you decide to cut one off.
