Found 3 new bugs:
1) It stopped showing that I had a new SMS. It would be in the inbox, but no Icon, no sound/vibrate, no flashing led. Could be caused by the theme I used? (it went away as I installed another theme, but I can not image the
theme influences the flashing led).
2) The walkman buttons stopped working. Whatever I did, they would not light up anymore. Restarting phone did not help.
3) It would not turn off anymore. Could press the power button for as long as I like --> No effect.

These sound more like faults than bugs.

Nah, these are bugs. Well except 1), that could have been theme releated (can't check anymore, deleted the theme).
2) and 3) where fixed by removing the battery. Occasionally, the soft touch buttons stop working though. Turning it off and leaving it off for a few minutes does work. Haven't figured out exactly what is the chain of events that trigger the buttons to stop working, but I suspect it has something to do with the backlight settings and charging.

Got my 960 back from service last wednesday, 6th of Feb. It worked fine until today. Now it has shut down 4 times at one day. I can't trust this phone anymore!! I have to remove the battery to get it started again. At service they had just flashed the phone with the same FW as before, because they havn't released any new FW yet. I feel helpless!

All the UIQ3 phones are plagued with random bugs that only affect some of the handsets, probably due to usage patterns.

Get yourself a N95 8Gb, far better phone, rock solid and just dump SE.

Hi guys, So far alot of the 'bugs' that have been reported in this forum I have not had an issue with. (No randum restarts, no crashes, my C button deletes messages).

I've had the W960i since beginning of January and so far the only MAJOR problem (IMHO), that i have come across is when texting. Whenever I hit the Button to add a [space], the phone would think its a repeat of the previous key etc.. It is a real hassel and I am even considering putting [.] in stead of the [space]. Has anyone come across this problem before? Any fixes?

I realli hope SE does update its FW to fix all these problems....

I love this phone, looks great, has tonnes of features, but I just wish they did a proper QC of this before releasing... and dont know why they nerfed the touch screen... you have to press so hard for it to be responsive and the handwriting recognition is terrible! (my previous phone the P910i was awesum with the handwriting, but the W960i's handwriting is skrewed up like the M600)

I read through all these 8 pages.....quite a few bugs I must say.....

however, there is a firmware update available for W960 now.....

heard people say that it fixed a few bugs...also

- Faster media player!!! Detects media from card/phone really fast, UI is a bit faster now
- Walkman is a lot faster
- FASTER 3D games, much more fluid
- Video recording with camera is great, no lagging
-delete messages with 'c' button
- Camera has the reticule when auto focusing ( the green square )

google maps and dictionary are available in sis....my location works in the google maps UIQ 3 version!
there's an app called qflashlight ......it helps in using the W960 led as a flashlight....however, you'll have to keep the camera button pressed...
