Nice pic, @akdemiru!

Just to ask, where do you hail from, and how does your phone have this f/w?? Did you send it off to a service centre, or get it through SEUS?? Appreciated in advance.....

Fair play sir. So how did you get this? Have you had a chance to play/test the phone and what is your feedback on it?

akdemiru has asked me to post this.

"This FW not available yet on SEUS, I got this on a Service Center. It still crashes often. Especially Bluetooth is not stable. It is somewhat faster than before. But I have the feeling that R7 was better.

BR

Ugur"

If this is the case then I feel people will lose faith with the P990i more so than now..... at least we had hope!

if it crashes often, its indeed worse than r7, because what i have now doesn´t crash at all...SE better give us something more polished, otherwise i will join the people bitching them

He can read but is limited to 3 posts today which he's already used. If he wishes to PM me I will post any replies I can.

I asked if he could report any improvements/changes etc. This was a PM. I'm sure he (I'm presuming it's a he ) wont mind me posting this.

"will do tomorrow. I had the phone for a while but was not using it, only started to use it 2 weeks ago and last week got it updated from R4 to R9.

so I'm not fully aware of all the issues but will read the forum and check my FW release if any changes or updates happend. "

@Guy H, i think this discussion should go to the general P990 fw thread, because it seems this is not a Voda firmware...

I'm trying to update my phone with the latest voda firmware and am stuck already!

I load up the program and it tells me to start my phone with the "c" button pressed down. I don't have a "c" button because I'm in flip off mode.

Do I have to reattach my flip to do the update?

Also, it isn't clear if I need to smart phone suite (the thing with the backup manager in it) running whilst I'm doing the update or not.

Anyone know these answers?

Cheers, Boomah.

Is it really that easy? Thanks.

I was going to do that but thought I would probably break something!

Do I need to have the smart phone suite loaded?

no need to have it running, actually it is better if you close it, as it takes memory.
