Certainly this thread has become alive.
My newbie question- what is the difference between cid52 and cid53 ? Does it have effect on phone performance, features ?
Thank you se for R1GA031.

The CID is the level of security to stop people like us modding them. The only difference between a CID52 k850 and a CID52 k850 is that you won't be able to read out files from a CID53 k850 with A2Uploader.

We will still be able to put so much different drivers in it that she becomes unstable anyhow.

I agree,im not expecting too much either,i just want my K850 to be faster and more stable, extra features would be just an added bonus.

Guys, wake up.
Come on, there has been almost one year and two months without updates. Before this, they used to release a new FW version every two months. Do you really believe this rumor? I'm rather skeptic. Unless Hideki Komiyama himself grabbed a K850i and the phone BRODed in front of his own eyes, I don't see releasing a new FW for a phone they no longer produce. But... well, the hope dies last.
K850i was the SE's most superb phone. And failure.
Advanced to Android.

@catalinux: I was exceptical too, but then I read trusted people who are into firmware related stuff, and even showed a pic of a K850 running R1GA so I believe it's for real I just hope this new firmware it's released for W910 & W890 too ... We'll just have to wait and see
