i still disagree about questioning their motives/intellect. and being loyal, i think it is fact speaks volumes about my loyalty. more so than complacency.
but ill leave well enough alone which is fair enough.
on-topic: m-one had issued a statement last week that he would be releasing a video of paris by the end of last week ... which has since come and gone, and there seems to be some silence on this front was there another statement issued about the subsequent lack of release of said video?
edit: word up, thanks mizz.

M-one said that but then recanted saying he might want to hold onto it i little longer. Great news that it will be leaked tomorrow. Wish it came with a spec sheet too |

TY Mizz,
Great news
(My Ninja. I politely suggested that if you find fault with so much of SE, then there may be another manufacturer better suited to your requirements. Thats all. I come here to find out about phones that I myself want, not to be told what I want. So please do not impose your mediocrity beliefs here, because they will not make SE develop a super high end handset made just for you anyway. Thanks ) |

yea my thoughts exactly, look youve given enough smilies, fall back let SE do their thing, the hype you created had its hand in this monster thread and would even go so far as to say the disappointment falls squarely on YOUR shoulders.
anyway, the all in one device seems to be a lost art over at SE.
samsung modules ... SE makes DSLR cameras and puts them in phones already ... this is an appalling development. i dont know why VGA is so hard to accept, i dont know why no one thinks that SE should get the w61s out to the rest of the world. the arguments that ppl post for the mediocrity coming out of SE for the USA/EU are illogical when its abundantly clear that they can and HAVE developed and released phones with the specs that are in question.
* 5.11 megapixel cmos sensor
- uses the same ‘Exmor’ sensor technology from Sony’s pro ‘α Alpha’ series of DSLRs
* Kaokime Lite (顔キメLite)
- auto adjusts brightness upon face detection for best possible facial tones
* Smile Shutter Lite (スマイルシャッターLite)
- auto shutter release upon detecting a smile (huh?)
* Auto focus
* Auto lens cover
* Anti-shake
* 3x optical zoom
* 3cm macro
* ISO 1600
* LED flash
* 2.8-inch LCD
- 480×800px wide-VGA resolution, 260,000 colours, ‘Reality MAX’ technology from Sony’s line of Bravia TVs
* Other stuff: Micro-SD card slot (up to 2GB), TV-out, bluetooth, GPS, music, videos, EZ Navi, EZ FeliCa, etc., etc.
* Dimensions: W:50mm × H:114mm × D:22mm (thickest point: 24mm)
* Weight: 149g
* Release date: April 2008
so its COMPLETELY irrelevant to even say anything to the contrary when not only CAN then do it, they have and RELEASED phones with the features that most of us are clamoring for in phones that have yet to be announced, so why should a younger phone have weaker features than an older phone, as far as im concerned anything less is a slap in the face, and an insult to my intelligence. lets be honest here SE is just dicking around. It blows my mind why anyone would accept anything less, engineering mediocrity is the bane of my existence.
agree with you he created hype for nothing, or can i say p1 + crappy 5mpx and gps..

We get the bottom of the barrel year after year. To us, EUROPE is a year or two a head in mobile tech and Japan is a dream away.
The US is the largest market in the world. You'd think if it were so easy to just sell their top product to any market, they would push it in the US because it would just take a "few modifications to make it use US bands". That's obviously not the case. There is no demand here for those devices because the general american mobile population is unaware of what's out there.
The situation is actually a little different, specifically for mobile devices. The US is a late comer to the GSM world, with good reason. There was a widely available established analog mobile network in the US and there was just no need to make the heavy investment for GSM equipment.
Having said that, I completely agree with your last sentence. The Europeans and Asians are more aware of technological progress probably due to cultural differences.
P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD |

I think electronics are generally cheaper in the US because of the mass quantities that are sold here. But generally, we receive less models than the rest of the world.
I made a point about the established telephone system for the reasons for the US being behind. |

forgot to post this yesterday, I think the SO906i, which isn't the best out of all the 906i phones [spec wise], turned out looking the best.

maybe theres some miscommunication here, or not.
however im not telling you what to want nor am i asking you to subscribe to my philosophy. you more than likely come here out of curiosity for the future (how far has yet to be seen) just like everyone else. i was only expressing my frustration for being treated like an ungrateful stepchild with downs syndrome by a company that can and has produced stellar handsets, merely because im in a different region.
