it's all about demand and supply. i'm supplying a higher demanded product which is hard to get hold of. i'm not forcing anyone to buy them. therefore i'm not doing anything wrong. you would do the same selling a new mobile phone. anyway for those who are interested there are 4 left.

Why would people pay money for an black/white elastic band?

Because its for a good cause.

Rays pocket is a good cause?
Posted by Stinger151
These are 1.50 in niketown which have some left and also sport soccer.
Ray u should charge 2.00 each as i say thats fair.

I think people should stop selling these kinds of bands on here, whatever 'sale' threads always seem to degenerate into flame wars whenever they appear

And if you really want to give money to an anti-racism charity, why not donate online? You don't need a fashion statement rubber band to show off with at poncey dinner parties to do it with!

Posted by Stinger151
Sammy_boy by wearing these bands u r showing ur support for the charitys that they are set up for.
By wearing these bands u r showing that u would like to kick racism out of football, the more people wearing these bands the more impact it will have. These bands cost 1.50 brand new and i think 75 % goes to charity (KBF).

I'm not denying that the money goes to good causes (except for some rather blatent profiteering by some people!), it just to my rather cynical eyes also looks like a bit a marketing by Nike to make themselves look like a 'caring, sharing' multinational.
Posted by Stinger151
True, But Its not Nike who set up the Whole thing its People Like henry Who thought of the Idea.Although Nike muct be making a fair bit of money.

You lot need to calm down, he's only selling four!
So what: £1.50 or £4/5.... someone had to buy it first for him to get them, so the proceeds have already been given to charity

Relax, and spend your time 'arguing' about something else........
EDIT: like someone said earlier, if you want one: get up and go to a sports shop to buy one, stop complaining if someone is trying to 'help' you get one

Posted by slattery69
according to nike this is were the money from the bands is going not in to peoples paypal accounts from ebay
HOW MUCH DO THE BANDS COSTS AND WHAT HAPPENS TO THE MONEY FROM THE BANDS?
IN RETURN FOR A BAND WE ASK FOR A DONATION OF €2 (£1.50 IN THE UK). THIS ENTIRE DONATION, MINUS PRODUCTION AND SHIPPING COSTS, GOES TOWARDS THE STAND UP SPEAK UP FUND, WHICH WILL BE MANAGED BY AN INDEPENDENT ORGANISATION - THE KING BAUDOUIN FOUNDATION BASED IN BRUSSELS. NIKE MAKES NO PROFIT FROM THE BANDS AT ALL.
THE KING BAUDOUIN FOUNDATION WILL CONDUCT RESEARCH ABOUT BEST PRACTISES IN ANTI-RACISM CAMPAIGNS AND PROJECTS AND WILL ENSURE THE FUNDS ARE DISTRIBUTED EFFECTIVELY TO ORGANIZATIONS AND PROJECTS WORKING AGAINST RACISM IN FOOTBALL
