I have just bought a SonyEricsson HBH-300.

I'm using an MSI dongle (fw revision Version 525) with 1.4.3 build 4 widcomm
software on xp sp2 and I am able to get the headset to work as an audio
device for the PC.

I'm using SIPPS (a voice over IP application) and find that if I receive a call I have to

A) Reach for the mouse, right click the bluetooth icon, point to quick connect, point to headset, point to HBH-300 then click it.
B) Press the button on the headset to accept the connection from the PC
C) If headset is not on my ear, place it on my ear
D) Click on answer in the VOIP application.

Would be so much easier if I could just plonk the handsfree on my head and press the button to answer. I guess this is just one of those things tho and I have to get used to doing everything the long way around and missing calls

In answer to my own question it seems you can hit the button on the bluetooth handsfree and it connects to the PC in a few seconds. I have moved to the SIPPS applications which seems very good, even though some features don't seem to work (music on hold etc).

This reduces the steps needed to answer a call to: -

A) Press bluetooth headset button
B) Put on ear if not yet there
C) Press answer in application
