And there was a post here by the person that first thought up the idea and he told everyone Where is that post?

what is bluejacking

Let us give ajack, the "originator" of bluejacking explain what it is:
"I was in the bank today and was waiting for my number to be called as there was many people in the bank. Out of boredom, I did a Bluetooth discovery to see if there was any other Bluetooth device around. A name appeared on my screen "Nokia 7650" which obviously means some poor Nokia users has his Bluetooth switched on.
I looked around and didn't see anybody around me using that brick... I mean Nokia 7650. I then proceeded to create a new contact in my phone which had all it's fields empty except for the first name which I gladly filled with "Buy Ericsson!" and made my R520 send that business card to the Nokia 7650 and a guy a few feet away from me suddenly had his 7650 making obscene noises in the bank. He took out his 7650 and started looking at his phone (and looking lost at the same time).
I couldn't contain myself and left the bank. Thought I'd share this story with all."

yes, well nowadays phones (including my k700i ) let you choose if your phone is visible or not.
so, I guess, bluejacking is almost history

Well, I bluejacked first when I got my t39 some 3 years ago... But at that time, the word bluejack didn't exist... I did this to my mate's t39 - he was always leaving bluetooth on for no apparent reason. I was sending him some contacts when the idea crossed my mind...
He didn't fall for it because he knew a lot about the phone.
But then again, there are a lot of uninterested people (not calling them STUPID) - usually with Nokia bricks - who really get scared when receiving a contact with a message as a name...
It's a funny thing to do

no way is bluejacking almost history, people leave the bluetooth on to get jacked now
The best people to Bluejack are older people as they don't have a clue how the contact has been sent to there phone.

yes, well for example I cannot be bluejacked. If for any reason my bluetooth is active in a public place, it is set to be invisible
