There have appeared first images of Siemens SX1 modification – the SX1 McLaren Edition. Unfortunately at the moment we do not obtain any additional info about this novelty. Earlier there has been issued the McLaren Edition for the S55 and the C55.

So what the difference except the colour? It now looks like a black Woodlouse instead of a grey one!!
They should've put a big spoiler on it

Do Siemens & McLaren have some sort of sponsor partnership then?

Posted by masseur
its becoming more common for car manufacturers to market mobile phones.

I've previously seen the Jaguar Startac and the Aston Martin V600

I'd like a 'Porsche900'!!

So they do. Can u tell I don't watch F1.

Posted by 50Cent
who does?? its a pretty tedious sport to watch in my opinion...and you always seem to have just left the room when the big crashes happen....well annoying!

Posted by Elrond
I watch F1. And it's not that much annoying. But everyone likes other things and sports.

i love formulal 1 and i'm on 5 races every year..
This year i'm going to, Nurburgring, Hockenheim ring, Zuzuka, Monaco and Monza. All tickets are alreddy bought

Great choice. Monaco is a bit boring, but it's cool and there are a lot of famous people.

Cebit pic!

The way things are going.. I'd rather partner up with Minardi than McLaren

@elrond - I guess the Monaco track is just one of the 'exciting' tracks F1 has ever produced - venue of course! It's quite unique in everyway, also, famoso (famous) people are mushrooming everytime it's race day there, Arnie was once seen there, that was last year I think. As to the partnership, yes, McLaren is to Siemens, BMW Williams is to HP etc. I just quite noticed that the official timer for this season (2004) was not sponsored by Tag Heuer, my fave watch brand, instead, it was delegated to Siemens. After Tag has been around for decades, why suddenly pull their ads out of/ at F1?

The SX1 McLaren Limited Edition is not something we have not seen before, but Siemens had just officially announced it. The SX1 McLaren Limited edition will cost 649 Euro.

SX1 McLaren Limited Edition offers exclusive extra applications: upon being switched on, the start up animation shows a West McLaren Mercedes MP4-19 driving across the display, the screen saver features Kimi Räikkönen and his Formula 1 car, and having the original West McLaren Mercedes racing sound as the phone's ring tone allows each phone call to take place in the unique atmosphere of a Formula 1 race. The special West McLaren Mercedes icon on the menu allows access to team news, general information on the Formula 1 race tracks of the 2004 season as well as a picture gallery showing photos of Kimi, teammate David Coulthard and the MP4-19. Top highlight: videos with interviews from the West McLaren Mercedes garage and MP4-19 test sessions. The personal video greeting from Kimi Räikkönen and the signed autograph card make the special edition a definite must for any Formula 1 fan.

And features highlight of SX 1 McLaren Limited Edition:

glossy black and bears the official McLaren logo on the back

integrated video camera

high resolution 16 bit color display (65,000 colors)

MP3 player and the FM radio

“hot swap” MMC

109 x 56 x 19 mm dimension, 116 grams weight

200 hours standby time or up to 4 hours talk time

Siemens SX1 with integrated music player;

The gloves are off in the mobile phone music market. Just as T-Mobile announces its somewhat strange two-minute music download service, O2 responds with details of its long awaited integrated 02 music player. The limited edition Siemens SX1 mobile will feature a built in 02 Digital Music player so you don't need to use a separate device to download tracks.

Built into the SX1 is 128Mb of memory, allowing storage of up to 128 full length tracks. It also comes with an integrated VGA camera, video and audio player, FM radio, MultiMedia card slot and tri-band functionality. It is available for £79.99 or will be free on selected pay monthly tariffs.

Launched in November 2003, 02's music download service offers 100,000 tracks from Sony Music, Warner, Universal, BMG and several independents.
