@leks - Maybe the guy is just busy . . . By the way, waht made you decide on acquiring one mate? If I were in your shoes, I will just be totally satisfied with your Ericsson T28 pal . . .

Posted by Leks
The gprs!
So I can check esato

Posted by *Jojo*
@leks - Hmmmm . . . nice choice! Me, it's Bluetooth feature, so I can emit my Caribe virus out in public places!

Posted by BobaFett
Its a pity, that no motion sensor on it and speakerfone, think there wasnt enough place for those.

Posted by *Jojo*
@leks - Whoooaaa ! Nice one mate ! You're kinda lucky there pal, the casing looks like it just came out of the box when it was first bought from the shop, very pristine condition ! The Ericsson T28 looks nice too . . . . How 'bout the accessories included with it, can you take some pics with those as well?

Posted by Leks
Well, it was just a charger and 2 batteries, no box.

Btw, it was a "made in Malaysia"

@leks - Oh yeah . . . People who manage to buy Ericsson fones back there that were made in Malaysia were still lucky, compared to now that even the best ones are just made in . . . China ! From Sweden to Malaysia and now, China . . . where will SE think of producing their fones next - Afghanistan or Iraq?

Posted by BobaFett
@leks thats good, almost unused according the counter. Its a pity that not a swedish, but its a t39!

Posted by Leks
It was a UK high capatsy battery and a Japan/Malaysia slim one.

Posted by BobaFett
When was the batts made?

Posted by Leks
Where do u see that?

Btw, my t28īs flip counter was 17,456...

Posted by Leks

I like the long aerial coming out that 'small' fone. Never heard of the booster u mentioned.

Here is a little test of antenna booster: it works! And specially it helps T39 quite much! http://home.pacbell.net/mtom168/antenna/

Posted by BobaFett
@matteus thx @threex that bus10 is weird. Almost new batt. Bus11 arent the newest ones, but the performance depends on former usage.

Posted by Leks
got my small antenna today, pics commin!

Posted by BobaFett
Great! Which batt u use?

Posted by Leks
I use the "slim" one cus its only 50 mah differnet... (600/650mah)

Just found out that my vibrator doesnīt work

Posted by *Jojo*
@leks - Hi matey . . . . . . . I just got mine ! (Ericsson T39mc this evening, about 2 hours ago, from a potential seller here in Manila, just sold it to me at US$ 37.00 - really cheap ! Complete with box/cd/manuals and all that) . . . Though since I am a very 'meticulous' guy, I will have the back and front covers changed - original Ericsson accessories at that, so it will really look like brand new!

Here are some pics:

1. Beside my ever reliable old Ericsson - T10:

2. Ericsson - T39mc:

My guess project I guess will be acquiring the 'vintage' Ericsson T28 fone model !

Posted by ThreeX
Hmm.. no offence, but i think the stubby antenna ruins the looks of the T39! Looks like a rottweiler or something..

:|

Posted by BobaFett
@leks oops, thats weird. Turn it off, then on! It has the same vibra as t28, maybe u can get a replacement.

Posted by Leks
Doesnīt help. I dont care so much about it...

@threex - Which one matey, my pics/post? It looks like a Doberman to me . . . I guess!

Posted by ThreeX
@JN
I was referring to Leksīs 'after' picture of the T39m
IMO it looks so much better with the grey original antenna..

Posted by *Jojo*
@threex - Yup! i guess it would just be not necessary to have that thing attached to it's original antenna, what is it for anyway, booster? Looks like a piece of 'boots' to me pal, the one which you wear on your feet!

Posted by BobaFett
@leks hm. Se or second hand fone shops must have a vibra. Was it @ninja with so many t39? U should ask him for a vibra.

Posted by Leks
Ye, it was Ninja.

Posted by Leks
@JN
How much did ur new front cost?

Wonderful change! Pics are so sharp that I see that the signal bars are the same! Looks much more modern. The long antenna looks a bit antique. I cannot use the the long antenna any more. I found that GPRS is more efficient with the short Finnish aerial. Keep the T39 special edition for ever as I shall do. Let us others envy us!

Posted by BobaFett
The short aerial has better reception? So its better quality then the original? Dont think its stronger, the rec apart in it is bigger, or?

Posted by Matteus
The difference between these types of antennas are minimal but the shorter one is maybe even better when using GPRS. The genuine one is maybe better in 1900 MHz of Mexico.

Posted by BobaFett
Now that u mention it, the radio aparts were mostly made in mexico for ///.
