Google plus going to die ? Would love to hear about it guys.

Why? What did you hear?
There is no point to start a rumour just for fun.

Its not featured anywhere at Googles I/O conference next month which may (and only may) suggest they will be dropping it. I for one won't be too bothered as I use Facebook and can't be bothered with Google Plus which doesn't seem to add much different to Facebook except being more annoying to use.

Plus, they have updated their android app. I don't think that's gonna happen. At least not for now.

If you're using it, then you will know that it's far from dying...

I for one, like Google Plus way more than Facebook. Or maybe I should say I dislike it less, and don't really like any of them to be honest
Facebook is annoying and shows too much things I don't want to see.
If the hardest competitor would be shut down, it would be a big let down for everyone.

Hmmm .

The Google+ so-called "real name" policy can best be described as a confusing, velvet-glove-cast-in-iron policy where users of Google+ are required to use their birth or government ID names — and when flagged, must prove it, and submit official documentation as proof.

Google began its "real name" enforcement with mass Google+ account suspensions and deletions shortly after Google+ launched in July 2011. The whole mess is called Nymwars.

&

Users found out in January 2014 when Google+ force-integrated chat and SMS into "hangouts" in the Android 4.4 "KitKat" update.

Yeah ... using Google+ is not a choice you're forced into it ...whether you know it or note your gmail account automatically created a Google+ account. Make a comment on Youtube and watch it all unfold.

This alone, this forcing you into something (I personally) you may not want is a SOLE reason why I do NOT want an Android device.

And now they want a health app aggregated similar to Apples announced in iOS8; except Google wants to put it up in the cloud!

Google does NOT have a very good track record for
1) restricting developers on what end users approve or restrict yet to be able to still install and use their apps,
2) Privacy: they simply don't care unless it goes to court. Offering g all kinds of bull about how it helps customers (Case: Google Maps Street View drive cameras viewing people's homes, pictures of their faces without permission and getting financial gain is illegal in North America CAN/USA/Mex. And many more)

Now with your health records in the Cloud from you Android device and SmartWatch.... just watch as:
1) you're ridiculed publicly walking down the street due to failures or giving up in health endeavors. Don't laugh at this thought think about Hollywood, Los Angeles, New York and many other cities where looks and physique are paramount!
2) you're denied of larger Life Insurance coverage or payouts because you've stated in an app that you smoke and have for over 15yrs and trying to get into shape. Horrible eating habits. Tie this in with the M2M with your doctor's health records of you, your test results your missed health checkups (ladies results from your palp smears!), etc. Anyone ever see Gattica?! If not watch it and you'll see an overview of what I'm talking about. Oh its not funny and it's already starting to happen!
3) your posts of heavy drinking on Foursquare or similar apps also update your health apps showing affected heart rate, blood pressure, poor hydration levels - link #1 & 2 above with this.

See where I'm going with this folks?! This is not simply your personal information on the Web at stake, not simply your identity it's your life you. Since when before 6mths ago has anyone you've heard talk about, know personally, or read on a forum stating THEY WANTED their health apps to share information or even on the Web?! Hmmm.
