Can someone advise me on the best Android photography app?? What I mean or want is one that can control shutter speed,aperture, manual settings etc if there is one?? I had Pro Shot on Windows Phone which was excellent. Just don't wanna end up purchasing something which ends up being rubbish. Am using Nexus 4

AFAIK there is no app that can do that. There were voices that Sony would help CM developers to implement manual shutter for Xperia devices in CyanogenMod ROM, but it looks like it died down.

Can You point to this kind of app for WP? I just tried this Camera FV-5 and it's a joke. Fake exposure settings, it only does software tricks that are not worth it, I only find bracketing option usefull(still it takes 2 second to take 5 photos, not really inspired...) as it's missing in original camera, but that's it.

I just downloaded the free version and it seems like a pretty decent camera app with some nice features, it's worth noting that there's a 75% discount in the play store on it at the moment and it's only 77p

Thanks for the tip. Does it do manual controls though?? I do know how to use manual controls on cameras and long exposures etc. Am sure if WP has Proshot with manual controls Android must be able to do it

YES! When it comes to controlling the camera, Vignette is second to none.
On a side note, the only downside I found - it's slow saving pics at times.

I did some research, and it seems like there isn't an app for that in Android
Manual shutter speed settings must be allowed to change in hardware, but it seems like there aren't any Android phones that can do that, except maybe newer Xperia, but then devs are still working on it and I don't know the progress.
Another useful feature that the CyanogenMod team will soon bring is the control over Shutter speed. Currently, no Android handset offers an option to control the shutter speed of the camera. Controlling the shutter speed of your Android device can allow you take much better photos, provided you know a bit about photography. They can be especially useful in low-light situations, where you can drop down the shutter speed to the lowest possible so that the sensor is able to take in more light.
It seems like other CyanogenMod devices can also get shutter speed, not sure, but it's still in the works
Nokia is known for very good photography, so they implemented it in WP, +1 point for WP against Android.

The Proshot app did really good nightshots and improved picture quality but for some reason doesn't work on Samsung Ativ S. I will try finding a shot i once did with it
