Looks good, but why the inferior Camera and the lack of LED flash?
Anyway, just like the Galaxy Mega phones, simply too big for my liking but lets see how this does. I don't think it will be much of a threat to the Note range though, but at least we have another phablet competitor on the scene, variety is good.

It only says the Z Ultra will get X-Reality on or slightly before September 9 2013 as an Over the Air update. Until then it will have to do with MBE-2.

6.4 inch size is perfect! Sony have done a great job, with that size you can get a large display for note taking with a pencil while you can still hold it with one hand comfortably. Great phablet and can easily threaten other phablets with it's features
bonus waterproofing too.

What do you think they will announce in Paris?
I cannot imagine an event to show what they just showed in Germany.
Couple of possibilities:
- For an entertainment device with such a huge screen, I am missing the gaming part: some software features/play playstaion games in your ps4 account with a sony gamepad?
- For a productivity device, the calling function will be difficult: an accessory for hands free calling?
Or is this just an event for nothing?

If Sony is planning to launch XZU in the same price range as XZ then there might be a big price reduction for XZ!!!
The design for XZU is very similar to XZ, but the size is too big for my taste. I don't see a reason to exclude LED Flash from this phone???
It would have been a plus point for XZU.
Wish there would have been a stylus for XZ...

Global Availability Dates?
Software - compatible with Note2's software? (anyone working in XDA for ports)?
- vanilla android support? collaboration with Google on this for business? Samsung's School software/service is live in Canada of all places .. didn't even KNOW about this!
I think its time Sony implements their SEN business and have a new arm for Education/Research headlining this Phablet to take it to the next level, supporting longevity and payments to pay back the R&D that went into this product.
Sony has a SERIOUS chance with this product no matter what Sammy comes up with the Note3; yet without growth beyond the product or software its great potential will be overlooked ... people like to go with what they know unless a better alternative is blatantly obvious.

The frame is Glass polyamide like Z but the sides are metal unlike Z.
