I just thought I would start something a bit different on here at Esato. Kind of a walk down memory lane. I would like to know what got you into technology? say from a young age and what was your top 5 most amazing things that happened to you with tech? It can be anything as my love would of been.....

1 Commodore Amiga - This machine was simply outstanding and my most favourite tech to this day, why? it kicked MS and Apple at developing a extremely capable OS that was the first to true multitask and to this day is unrivalled. Games were just amazing! I owned an Amiga A500+ (got stolen), A1200 and CD32. I still have my A1200 back at home in the UK. I think it still works now thats just amazing that it still works!!

2. Sony Playstation - From the 1 right through to the 3, hats off to Sony for producing such a capable console. Yes Microsoft brought out the XBox in which I had that too but the PS i will always have a soft spot for.

3. BBC Micro / Acorn Electron - yes i know very nostalgic but these babies were in a lot of schools and looking back they taught you the basics for sure. Forget stupid ipads this is how schools got kids to think with their own brain not some swiping, tapping a screen.

4. The mobile phone - yes having your first mobile phone was indeed weird when you made your first phone call when you were in an isolated area. You wondered that must be the longest phone cord from a telephone box to make call. Also receiving a text message was so like odd reading from a little 3 display high green screen.

5. Ford Focus - You guys are probably like what the hell is that in there I tell you why, the latest Ford Focus (i aint got one) but wow the tech in this baby is just jaw dropping. I have a work colleague who just got one and we went out for a work site visit and went out in his Focus. He did a parallel park, and wow the car did it for him! Thats just amazing tech for sure!! I know its not childhood but wow!!

I cant wait to hear our stories!!

From a young age I was always just fascinated by how electronics worked. I remember opening up my brothers old Texas Instruments computer after it died. It was a terrible computer but I opened it up and just loved looking at electronics and how things worked. From then on in I was always into gadgets and it first then moved onto stereos like having a Walkman and a ghetto blaster

I then moved onto my own first computer the Commadore 64 Now that was brilliant!!!! The mobile phone thing started in 1997 when I had my first ever phone called the Nokia Ringo on Vodafone analogue network bought from Tandy store. If you so much as moved an inch the called would drop. That was my love of phones then started.

1. Nintendo (NES)
I got a Nintendo console with many games embedded such as Contra, Mario, Tank (?), etc.

2. 3x86
My first computer. Norton Commander days . Then latter Windows 3.1.
I remember few games that I loved: prehistorik 2, alladin, commander keen, duke nukum, wolfestein 3d, xenon 2, stunts, formula1, cosmo... The days where the games graphics detail was not important. What a feeling.. I miss the sounds from the PC Speaker

3. Internet mobiles
My first love was the Ericsson r310. That phone open my eyes to internet mobile. Few wap sites were that time, including google, esato, mopilot.
