Good on Samsung! Apple have been complete idiots, they deserve all this to be honest after their so much over hyped iphone 5 which turns out to be a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10!!! lol

well true there are some exaggerations, but it is also true that 16gb or 32gb + up to 64 gb microSD is better than fixed storage alone, also they got it right iphone 5 totally different plug (if you already have a previous iphone pretty sure you would be pissed), GS3 standard micro usb plug, and another dealbreaker to some is the removable battery. They also forgot iphone 5 needs nano sim. True it doesn't take a genius indeed, unless your brainwashed

Only thing that I see as a downside to GS3 was it's size, seen a lot of people complain and changed to a different phone due to GS3 being too big, and also maybe the way GS3 looks but that's subjective.

@Miss UK is that the best argument you've got?? Plastic?? Come on,plastic in most cases well it's actually polycarbonate is stronger than iPhones glass. You can't comment on a phones build unless you've tried it and Samsung phones are not cheaply made they are put together solidly. IPhone 4S was plagued with build issues too many videos I have seen. You need to come up with a stronger comment than plastic mars

What's an advert without a bit of exaggeration? there are MANY points that Apple exaggerated and even lied on going back to the 1st iPhone.

Anyway, as funny as comparative advertising is, its main letdown is that you give your competitor a bit of promotion to, not a great way to go, but entertaining. Its like the old days when BMW and Merc were at each others throats.

Samsung did an incredible job with the S3, the funny part is that with the S3 Samsung didn't "copy" Apple's design at all, yet its the one that has done the best for Samsung.

What the above ad shows is that not only has Samsung caught up, but they are quickly pulling ahead in many aspects.

WRT Samsungs being made of plastic

all the iPhones shattering due to minor drops to cement and tiles speaks for itself. Considering the many times i dropped my S2 on cement, if i had an iPhone it would be spending plenty of time in repairs, yet my S2 still looks new, until you look much closer to the little bumps on the corners.

completely agree there, why would you make a phone out of glass?? bit stupid I think! unless it's proper toughened glass then yeah that's quality! I reckon Apple use cheap glass hence that's why it's shatters!! I think out of all manufacturers Sony have the right idea making IP67 rated phones! I can't wait for the Xperia V!

Yep, both Sony and Motorola have the right idea. I wish they would do better marketing of their IP67 certified phones, its a clear advantage!

The day Samsung create a water and dust resistant high end Galaxy S and Note model, will be the beginning of the end for iPhone, THAT is a feature many people would like to have on a phone, in fact, im going to go out on a limb and say everyone wants a phone that is "life-proof" as Motorola put it on their Defy adverts, its just a matter of marketing.

Samsung's marketing approach is a bit more aggressive toward Apple users, but their Android phones are still the best one out there, with great user support ( Galaxy S is still getting OS updates, while the much newer Arc S or Ray are already long forgotten by Sony ), no surprise they're selling like hot cakes. Whatever you say, you just can't deny that.

That is someone's opinion why say "there you go Bonovox"?? There you go what?? Just cos he has said it's the biggest shit does that mean it actually is?? One persons opinion doesn't make a phone shit. I hate Apple and don't like their products but that doesn't mean they are shit just cos I say they are I just don't like or want them. Though it is a shit upgrade. And 20 million and counting Samsung GS3 owners can't all be wrong. I have had many phones made of plastic and they have been rock solid. Why do you always refer to plastic?? Most of Sony's range is plastic and they are fine. And I detest people's perception that others slag the iPhone down cos we're jealous. Why would I be jealous of something I can't stand or don't want?? This thread is full of spam cos the iPhone 5 is a poor upgrade and despite sales being probably high will never change my mind. Anyway, im enjoying the competition between Sammy and Apple, atleast its pushing Samsung to produce incredible devices, had to pull out my S2 when a mates iPad2 couldnt even display a HD YouTube video, as the iOS app sucks and Safari keeps going to the mobile site.

Same situation here.

Yesterday i gave my mother a Nokia Lumia 710 for her birthday, keeping in mind shes almost 70 years old and finds it hard to use new technology the phone is great and simple for her needs.

I found that using apps on it like Skydrive and facebook were so better implemented versus my sisters iPhone 4. To think that my mothers budget WP phone could actually do more than her once flagship device running so-called up to date software was incredible to behold.

Like i said earlier on Esato a while ago, i think this will be Apple's last major chance at keeping up with Android and their OEMs. These adverts some people might suggest exaggerate but to be honest, they dont.

Key points stick out a mile for me. Talk time on the 5 is poor, as is standby compared to the S3. Total lack of NFC or any other technology used for sharing data is also a major issue for Apple.

As for LTE. Couldnt care less. I find 3G on my phones very very good. Im perfectly happy with its speed. LTE is something of a luxury i wont need anytime soon.

On a serious note though, i think we are all getting a little too deep into this, these are two multi-billion dollar companies who are out to make money out of us, and this ad is just a little lite hearted humour, not to be taken seriously.

The more i look at comments and forums around this and other Apple vs. Samsung news, its hard for me not to believe that the two CEOs may just be in some yacht out in St. Tropez sipping on some Don P. and Crystal, laughing at us and how gullible we are.
