What you have one??

Thanks!

I just love this phone and am looking forward to getting it.

I suppose being a Motorola we shouldn't expect too much from the camera.

It is still a great phone nonetheless.

The ZN5 was a decent camera. How is that build quality they shouted about?? How is the screen?? I cannot tell the photo quality as I am on my mobile now

Posted by Dups!
Yes, the ZN5 was the only Moto that broke the tradition of average camera performance by Motorola. It would've been nice if they had help from Kodak again on this one.

Really a Shame !!!

It's Just Ridiculous Integrated Camera In Motorola Razr Droid !!!

16 November Sales Start As The Motorola Razr In Brazil (GSM Version Of The Droid Razr), I Was Really Inclined To Buy One Unit !!!

Thanks To Friend "MLIFE" No Such Misgivings !!!

Motorola Razr: Fantastic Design, Hardware Respectable, Camera of Rubbish... Rubbish !!!

More Finally a Ball Out of Motorola !!!

PS: It Would Be The Last Phone Motorola Motozine ZN5 Integrated Camera With Good Quality ???

Posted by mlife
Now in all fairness I just got the phone today so didn't "try" real hard to get the best photo quality possible.... just took a few quick photos to see how they came out. Not very excited with the results....

The build quality however is OUTSTANDING!!! and I poured a whole bottle of water over the phone and it still works great.

Don't like the memory card slot, its VERY hard to get into and I often swap cards from phone to phone as I own many! Very bad design.

Not gonna give up my N8 anytime soon for it as my primary device but will indeed try to take some better pictures tomorrow to give it a second chance.

NO

Ah mind you perhaps a silly question in such a thin device. Compromises. Does not look as though if you tried you could find where to get that back off anyway. Still nice phone. The top part where camera is reminds me of them old Sony Ericsson or Samsung slider phones with the camera on the back of the slider itself.

@mlife

This is the most important aspect after the build quality for me: how is the call quality? I still own the Razr V8 and it is exceptional in that field and I am hoping that this new Razr is even better.

Thanks in advance!

Most rubbish camera goes to HTC, my friend not Motorola for sure

Its on par with with my original Samsung Galaxy S.... one thing I did notice however is that when I woke up this morniing, my batter is still about half charged after using it pretty excitedly most of yesterday.

I am fussy over call quality too. Whenbi had the Moto Defy it had exceptionally loud and crisp call clarity. Motorola is like Nokia in that respect

I take it you are pleased with the battery performance judging by what you are saying about using the phone extensively yesterday?

@Bono

I thought Moto went ahead of everybody with their call quality when they came up with the 'Clear Talk' and then 'Crystal Talk 2'. But, as with almost everything, the other manufacturers caught up and the playing fields are somewhat level.

Posted by Marly
Alas, not all manufacturers have caught up to Moto's call quality, some have, others didn't, and I doubt they ever will, as nowadays that doesn't seem to be important anymore, in reviews you read a lot about social media nonsense, connectivity, etc. but hardly anything about call quality, when they're talking about "sound", they mean music
The inventor of the mobile phone, Motorola, seems to be one of the few manufacturers (Nokia is another one), still realising it's a phone, not a mini-tablet.

Well,call quality is always important to me & 2 years ago my letter to a certain magazine won me Star Letter & a phone too. I was on about it back then.

Good one Sean. Congrats.

Thanks. @mlife I looked at the photo you uploaded in photos section of the leaves. When I clicked on the photo viewing full size it looks ok to me sharpness wise & colours not too bad really. I think many photos look more grainy when uploaded here for some reason.

Nice one on the letter, Bono!

@mlife

One last question, does this phone have a missed calls/messages notification LED and where is it located?

I find that to be very useful.

Posted by Bonovox
Thanks. It was the 2nd time I have won a phone but in a long period of time. The missed call LED is something I miss on the GS2. @dups! it's here in UK now

Just got mine now and love it. But I can't find the button to multitask between apps or if I want to close an app. Is there one?

Also I can't seem to find a folder where to drop music into. Hmmm

Press and hold the Home button till you get the recent apps window. If you want to close an app, you usually get the option to close the app by going to its menu. Now, some don't. Try to force close them in Application > Manage applications.

The folder music is...the one you create for that purpose.

Sold mine a while back. Didn't feel it, battery life the major contributing factor. Other niggling issues were the sluggish performance after loading music and a few apps.

Moto needs to work a tad harder on software optimization cause I found that it was glitchy here and there.
