What is the best android phone out right now, in your opinion?

Also, can you provide me with a link of a review or something?

What do you like/dislike about the phone?

Thanks a lot!

Without a doubt - Samsung Galaxy SII.
You may find reviews in almost every site.

Google Nexus Prime and Motorola Droid Razr are the ones that may not have reached every market yet but are the ones that really need consideration and waiting for a month.
HTC Vigor will rise next to them, but it`s not officially announced yet... it will be after 2 days.

In my opinion, i will suggest you for Samsung Galaxy R Android Smartphone with 4.2 inches display. Samsung Galaxy R will come with 8 GB of internal storage along with a 32 GB expandable memory. It has a 5 megapixel camera with power LED flash.

What does "best" mean? Is there really a "best" phone (i.e. better than other phones for EVERYONE's needs?) For me, the best phone out there is the SonyEricsson Mini Pro!

Galaxy S2 - best 1080p video recording, i think it has the best screen, it has 1GB or RAM, fast dual core CPU and a fair GPU. And also it has 16-32GB built in storage.

Seriously thinking about buying it (right now it's down to the Xperia Pro vs SGS2 - Xperia Pro only hangs on with the physical qwerty keyboard...)

I totally agree. For me Xperia mini. A big 1GHz processor-512MB RAM monster in a tiny cave!

It's still is user preference.

Galaxy S2 it is as others have mentioned. There is yet no phone that can beat it after almost 4 months

What do you mean, "that can beat it"?...

I would never buy that galaxy, due just to the fact that it's JUST TOO BIG! I also don't want an iphone... it's again, BIG!

For a lot of people, the mini pro is just there, for others, it's the neo....

My personal choice was the neo, as the size isn't waaaay to big (though smaller a bit could be better)... the mini has a good size for a phone, but for a touch phone, again it's a tiny too small...

In the end you should try at the store the main phones you see here, and choose for yourself.

Ram in a phone is important. Dual core at the moment is pure marketing. CPU, depends on what you use, and (YES, it's not a mistake) on the type and size of phone you buy: there are a lot of cases that 1 GHz can be a lot faster than 1 Ghz on a different phone.

Conclusion: Try before you buy. But, looking at the phones everyone mentioned here, is a good start: don't ignore any and try all.

Just my 2 cents...

Have it 6 weeks now and it is the best phone I bought from SE in the last 6 years.

The Galaxy S2 from Samsung,no doubt. That device was/is ahead of its time. I personal like huge screens. Therefore will vote for the Galaxy Note (another Samsung of course)

i'm with mario.
the galaxy note is pretty identical spec wise with the sII with one difference.the monster 5+ inch screen.
its not for everyone because of its size but for me if i was presented with a sII and a note,i'd take the note.

Size & Style wise IMO Xperia Ray is the winner.
But if being best is being the most powerfull badass phone with big screen than the winner is undoubtedly Galaxy S2.

I am sure your post with just the name of the phone won't convince him. You should say why you think it's the best!!

Samsung S5830EUBLK Galaxy Ace Android Powered Smartphone is my first real touch phone and first exposure to Free Android Music therefore I am still learning all of its tricks, charms and flaws. I am quite pleased with the design, feel and functions. I must confess, I'm a Samsung fan but I moved to this from a Nokia E71 which was rock solid functional with excellent battery life but the online experience was a bit clunky and limited by the screen size. Now I have far more screen real estate and online connection is seamlessly smooth with no pauses to ask permission etc.

if we consider size, screen, features.........and so on

1. Ray.......................(perfect size, not to big, but still awesome screen size & casing)

2. Arc.......................(best camera.............just c905 who is slightly better....(only downside with Arc its quite big)

3. Xperia active.........(what can i say..waterproof, new cool features, etc)

ps. this is a the Sony thread (who cares about Samsung)

No it isn't :?

I don't think to be honest SE (or Sony) have made quite the impact on android that they might like. The clear leaders are obviously samsung. From my perspective as an outsider (happy iPhone user with no intention of switching) its the galaxy s2 that still seems to be the android phone to beat, and which consistently gets held up as the main iPhone competition. The galaxy nexus may unseat it but it's only real advantage seems to be ICS, which is coming to the S2 anyway.

how hard can it be ????

this thread is only for Sony phones. (so drop this Samsung crap)

here are the other brand-threads:

Hardware wise, yes, Samsung are pretty much in front.
But I think we are talking overall impression here.
I prefer the Sony Ericsson style, UI and such, and the hardware is also alright.

No, this thread is about which Android phone is best. It just happens to have been posted (perhaps wrongly) in an SE android forum..

And pedantry aside, if you can't bear to see SE phones being compared to their direct competition, maybe it's time to get out of this particular kitchen!

hi there, i'm planning to buy Xperia mini pro...
I think it's rock!!

Spec-wise, the S2 is great... but that's pretty much like saying only cars with V16 engines are the best. (a lot of people will defend this no-replacement-for-displacement argument to death)

The "Best" car differs from person to person depending on their needs and usage. Some people like huge V8 SUVs, others need a limo, others a cabrio, and others an M3, and even others want a DIY kit.

Same goes for phones.

My personal picks are 's smaller handsets... the ray, mini, mini-pro and active. For larger people who want bigger screens (or just have huge fingers)... the Galaxy Note is actually far better than the S2... the pressure sensitive Wacom is a killer! Battery life on the Note is also far better than the S2.

I like having a phone + tablet... not an all-in-one. I like that 80% of my mobile comm needs fit in my shirt pocket (Xperia ray) without the bulk. I like having a tablet for times when even a 5" screen really isn't big enough to enjoy an HD movie.

OT side note: I'm now more hopeful for my dream tablet now that Wacom is joining the game.
