C905 Flash Problem

Hello all,

I tried to update my Sony Ericsson C905 with latest Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS) 2.11.7.13.
Note: this is the first time ever I tried to flash/update my device.
My battery was fully charged and I made sure I didn't connect my device through a USB hub.

However, the flashing failed, and keeps failing at the same point over and over again.

Result is a bricked device. When I turn it on, it gives a small vibration, the keys lighten up, but the screen stays black.

Next step was to investigate a custom flash with A2 Tool. Also latest version was used (22/09/2009) with latest Gordon's Gate Flash Driver (2.2.0.11). I chose the latest CID52/RED firmware.

The latest MAIN (C905_R1BA042_MAIN_GENERIC_SI_RED52.mdn) fails to upload:

However, I managed to upload the latest FS (C905_R1BA042_FS_WESTERN-EUROPE_RED52.fbn) to my device:
ChipID:E800,EMP protocol:0401

PHONE STATE: "RETAIL"
FLASH CID: 0052

ALLOWED DOMAINS:BLUE BROWN RED
MAXIMUM CID:52

Elapsed:197 secs.

Also, the CUSTOM succeeds through FileSystem Tool:
ChipID:E800,EMP protocol:0401

PHONE STATE: "RETAIL"
FLASH CID: 0052
OTP LOCKED:1 CID:52 PAF:1 IMEI:xxxxxxxxxxxxxx CERT:RED
LDR:2008-07-23 11:47 1202-0422_DB3210_EXPLORER_LOADER_APP_SDRAM_R2A065

LDR:2009-04-21 18:29 1202-0421_DB3210_CS_LOADER_ACC_SDRAM_R2A081
LDR CAPS:SYSTEM FLASH SIGNATURE AUTH
Elapsed:112 secs.

I drag/dropped the files into /tpa/preset/custom/ and read both .xml files. Finally I pressed the Shutdown FS Manager button.

Obviously my device will be bricked until either SEUS or MAIN flash through A2 Tool will succeed. However, both methods fail. Any suggestions what to do? I am running out of options here... especially since I never did anything to my device except for the official Sony Ericsson update, and it failed!

Kind regards,
Mattie

your friend SEUS failed?

is your internet connection during that time didnt disconnected? Is it stable?

your cid is still 52, had you tried PC Companion?

My internet connection is very stable (40 Mbit). The top bar in SEUS indicates the entire firmware was downloaded before the flashing had started. It's stored on my hard drive somewhere.

I've tried PC Companion (2.01.210), but since my device is "bricked" at the moment, I can't update it. The device gets disconnected after the first step.

Any other suggestions?

Should I try RED53 firmware?
