When you install java games and applications directly from your phone (from the internet) you can't send that game again, because you need the original .jar file. That means you can't save it either for later use or backup purposes.
I don't know if you know this, but on the memory stick of your phone (newer phones) there is a folder called "system" and in that folder is a folder called "ams". In the "ams" folder is all the java games' you have installed original jar files.
The folder is hidden on your phone so you can't access it directly with your phone's file manager. But you can use MobyExplorer to remove the hidden attribute from that folder, which makes it appear in the phones file manager. After you can access that folder you can copy the jar files to the other folder on the memory card. READ THE IMPORTANT EDIT BELOW!

EDIT IMPORTANT: As Boysie99 pointed out: these .jar files in the "ams" folder is protected and cannot be sent or copied to your PC. Only installed on the same phone.
Here is the FIX: Unfortunately you are going to need a pc for this, there might be a way to do this on your phone, but I have not tested it yet.
1) First of all, connect your phone to the computer in "mass storage device mode". In this mode your phone is seen as a USB memory stick (also known as a flash drive). If you have a card reader you can put the card directly in your card reader.
2)Go to the "other" folder on your memory card where you have copied it to earlier (READ ABOVE). Copy the .jar file to the computer and extract it using WinRAR.
3) Create a new .RAR archive using the right click context menu in windows or open up WinRAR to do this. Drag all the extracted files to the new archive. When you are done rename the archive's extension to .jar.
4) Now copy it back to your phone, and there you have it, not protected anymore!
As I said earlier, this might be possible directly on your phone using a application on your phone that can create RAR archives. Feel free to try it out!

The problem then is once you get into the ams folder, the jar and jad files are protected. You wont be able to copy them or send them without patching. This applies to JP-7.7 but lower versions im not sure about.

Boysie99 is right, sorry folks. But listen up, I will do some research on this and try to find a way to use this java apps after you have moved them.
You can move them and install them but not send them (with bluetooth, IRDA etc.)

As i said in my last post, the only way is to patch (depending on what java version). My k800 R8BF has java version 7.7 and needed 3 patches in order to fully manipulate java files;
A patch to access the 'system' folder, another to enable copying of java and finally one for enabling sending of java files.

I described the way I did it in the first post (I just edited it) and it works fine for me. I sent the file via bluetooth to 2 other phones and they installed and worked without any problems.

I find its easier to patch the phone. As i have said before, this all depends on what java version you have. If its 7.7 like mine then moby wont be able to access the ams folder let alone copy jar or jad files to other folder.

Oh ok now I understand what you mean with the java version, ans I see your point.
I guess there are a lot of people which won't be able to use this, but there are probably a few that will.

On K800 JP-7,7 use
Allow transfer of java applications.vkp -> (from e/system/ams)
First set visible folder System with MobyExplorer, then copy game(s)/application(s) from ams with Phone file manager to New folder and again copy game(s)/application(s) (from New folder) with MobyExplorer (Opera Mini 3.10 or MiniCommander.....) then you can send or install again.
Without patch: use google search

Here is the easier way, download BlueFTP from www.medieval.it and install to your phone. This filemanager app is able to read hidden file/folder, including the e:/system/app/

U are all wrong the installed apps and games appear in the system/ams not as Jar/Jad but "filename.jar/jad.*or"filename.jar/jad.#,when seen through a computer, so whatever you do you can't restore installed files neither from computer nor from the phone itself... the only way is to connect to it via BT using another phone which has an explorer installed. the other phone will have access to the e:/system/ams folder, but transferring files will NOT work every time
