Uhhhhh *red faced*

Posted by -PERFECT-
I can’t compare it with innov8, but i think this is very high quality for a cameraphone.

@gforce23: the third pic is in total darkness with flash

Look the new pics:

Excellent pictures. I'd like to see some more pictures taken with the flash in a dark setting as if taking a portrait picture of friends at a club at around 1 or 2 meters from the subjects if possible - PERFECT -.

Posted by Brady
Are all your camera settings on auto?

Posted by -PERFECT-
The flash is strong enough up to 2 - 2.5 meters, shooting at 1 - 1.5 meters the results are really good.

Only the last 3 pics have manual settings (change the white balance), in the others all auto.

With flash pic in auto mode there is a wrong white balance that give a blue tint, changing it in fluorescent this is the result:

Posted by Luci'sPower
well your right the results are good, can you post some more pics with the flash...let's just say half a pearson in complete darkness from the waist up?

Posted by davidsic
I had the renoir, difficult to use, mainly to write sms with t9.

But yes, the cam is good but i pefer my new C905, specificly for the ease of use and the very strong flash.

I had time to make some pics

Nice pics PERFECT

Posted by -PERFECT-
Ok Luci, i will try it.

Thanks David, why difficult to use? Personally i love it writing sms (like the user darrengf), the touch is very good and responsive.

Thanks mate

@ -PERFECT-

Is there any way you've found to keep the white balance on fluorescent? as it keeps changing back to auto.

Posted by -PERFECT-
No, when you close the cam it come back to default settings.
You can also use sunlight whitebalance with flash pics.

If you ask me the pics looks sharper than the C905! Wow did i really say that!

Posted by Vipera ammodytes
it looks sharper because is not uploaded on esato server..esato make images to look a litle bit blured
at full size they are the same...same algorithm i think and same camera module

look this c905 photo sharp is not it?

I think the renoir has some issues with the watercolor effect too, in landscapes. But guess will be resolved soon.

Posted by -PERFECT-
The Renoir is clearly sharper than C905, catch more details with less noise reduction.
It has sometimes the staircase’s problem and watercolor effect but in several conditions take great shots:

Flash is a big letdown. The Renoir has too much contrast and color in the pics IMO. Also th pics ar a bit yellowish, maybe for the white balance.

Posted by number1
I think the Renoir makes the best pics your gonna get from a tiny 8mp cmos sensor.

Amazing pictures.. I think i leave the c905 alone and go for the lg instead. Seems alot of people have problems with the slider also on c905 and that problem would not exist on the Renoir. Im not that impressed by the c905 pics "yet"

I have a small plan to customize it also as i have done in the past with a K850i

You don’t regret it for sure mate

Really nice pics PERFECT, you choose the proper settings

@ Pitzon : don't buy this, i had a KC910 a couple of days and it was almost a nightmare to write a messages with the T9.

If you choose the right settings you will get the same result with a C905.

the thing I liked with this LG is the compatibility for divx xvid

For the web browsing is very far from an iphone.

Too late Davidsic I didn´t choose the c905 because i dont like sliders and so may of my friends have already got problems with their c905:s.. I also believe that c905 can take good pictures but i like the Renoir more.

I was impressed by the LG when i opened the box. Feels rock-solid and i like the design. The first touch-phone i have owned but i have no difficulty typing even with my fat fingers. Ofcourse you could never be as fast as with an old Nokia 3210 but anyway

The menu-system are really easy to understand and the phone is fast and responsive. I noticed it was quite slow on file transfer to my computer though but i could always use my USB memorycard-adapter instead.

So far im really happy. It is so good looking

The cam is quite quick also and really responsive. Today we had really crappy weather and no sun but i took some first shots.

Yes i know my superdirty car needs a wash

I must say im a little bit in love in the phone, i want some sun though so i can try it out in good lightning conditions

congratulations Pitzon on your new phone...it produces some nice pics and is cheaper than c905 in my country...i think i'll pic renoir to

Posted by Pitzon
Thanks Luci

As i said i bought the Renoir with a few thoughts in my twisted mind. And here is the result.

I think im the only one in the world with a Renoir Carbon edition

Posted by -PERFECT-
Welcome Pitzon! Was i right? Renoir/life is good?
Now i understand what you meant with customize...really good work, but i will never try it!

@davidsic: thanks, they are nice not only for the proper setting IMO , your “nightmare” could be a pleasure for someone else, you CAN’T have the same results with C905 (looking the real size obviously), in all the pics SE use too much noise reduction.

Thanks Perfect, i have tried some low lights today and it´s tricky to set the right ISOs but i start to get the hang of it. I noticed the phone have harder to focus in really dark situations and iso 100-200 are almost too low sometimes but it´s fun to try

Macro seems simply amazing and in slightly better lightning the indoors are no problem at all. Some of the best shots i have seen from a mobile phone.

Outdoors it seems to be awesome and i haven´t even seen good lightning conditions yet.

Night pic in ISO100, little to dark but nice

Same shot but iso200, little brighter

The flash isn´t that strong as we already know but Perfect tipped me of tuning the wb to fluoroscent. In auto you get a blueish tint in the image. I rank it somewhere in between of a led and the N82s really strong flash.

Auto, total darkness and around 5 meters to the bathroom door

Auto with fluoroscent wb

So the downside of this beauty is the flash but it´s still better than a led one. I also noticed that the picture it takes are larger in size than what you see on the screen ( viewfinder field ).
