yes try to install it then configure the network settings of opera mini mod v2.06. you can follow the step-by-step procedures on the following links:

well I have installed opera mini long ago, but I don't have an access to a free server like "wap.smart.com.ph".
I just wanted to understand what wap.smart.com.ph@server.operamini.com:80 means. ok it's a request to wap.smart.com.ph instead of server.operamini.com:80. but what actually happens? which servers support this - '@server.operamini.com' thing?
that's what I wanted to know.
also I have a feeling, that here I'll not be able to find a free server, I'm just curious.

nope...im in the philippines, i think that some opera mini are too large for my handset (s40, n6101), i've downloaded mod v0.94 but the interface is different from those at the posts

Create an SMS, write GPRS on and send to 3401. When you receive a message containing "service has been activated" restart or turn off/on your phone, its free browsing...

Where are you from and who is your network provider? You can try installing Opera Mini mod v2.06 or v3.10. You just need to configure the network settings of Opera Mini and your phone.

Yah I think it will work on Nokia 3230. Try to download the compatible Opera Mini for your phone. Heres' the download link: http://www.operamini.com/download/pc/nokia/nokia_3230/
The version of Opera Mini on that link is 4.1. For you to be able to browse the Internet for free on your phone using Opera Mini 4.1, you may need to configure your phone with proxy settings. I'm advising you to use the proxy address 72.55.191.6 at port 3128. I believe that server is in Canada. Make sure that you will use Socket protocol on Opera Mini 4.1. Hey kabayan! Hehehe! Are you using Smart or Globe? Try to install Opera Mini 4.1 by downloading it from the following link: http://www.operamini.com/download/pc/nokia/nokia_6101/
It's not a mod version but you will be able to access the Internet for free by using socket connection. Let me know if you will be able to install that then I will give you the settings that you need to configure on your phone.

by the way, are you already able to browse the internet using opera mini?
anyway, to change the proxy settings, go to settings>connectivity>internet profiles then select the internet profile that you are using. do it as well on the settings for java.
