If they had any sense they would. Its something to roll out as an Ultra high end device. This segmentation thing is an odd strategy, they're holding back on what could be a powerful move.

SE would never put cybershot and walkman in one phone with the logos both sticked on the phone
but SE could put all walkman features as well as the CS in one phone. actually they have done that thrice i guess. the phones were P990, W900 and K850 
P990 - Megabass is present, same high quality K750's 2mpix camera built in
W900 - High Quality Video, same 2mix cam as K750, megabass of course!, walkman player
K850 - Walkman grade 3.0 player, 5mpix cam with AF, flash, media center

but your thread is created out of thin air with no back-up details. We can all close our eyes and ears and say that they're making those types of phones. i dont think it possible to combine 2 brand in 1 device.
but i would like to see SE walkman and cybershot branded phone have no much different except the minor change and packaging, like the k750 and w800.
i hope if SE do launch a new twin phone, for example it will have a spec :
- cybershot
5mp autofocus, xenon and led flash, all real cybershot digcam setting for capture a pic, packaging standar handsfree and m2 below 512mb
- walkman
5mp autofocus, only led flash, walkman 3, standard setting for capturing, packaging hpm-82 and m2 1gb above.
maybe this can accepted for many SE user.
ė really hate SE walkman phone doesnt have autofocus

True, but in terms of SE's strategy and positioning the cyber-shot series means the best photos in any situation (at least with the introduction of the xenon flash since the k800i) and the other cyber-shot phone were stop gaps until the flagship arrives.

inheriting the camera module from SE's best 5mp cam phone photo quality wise, the C902 while boasting the goodies of the W980 - i certainly agree with that!
although i missed some W980 features like FM transmitter and antena-less radio tuning. that could further make it stand out in the crowd of music phones but i know that's just a wishful thinking

i have long waited for a SE unit bearing the same specifications as the upcoming W902.. in fact, i was only wishing for a "modest" 3.2mp AF camera on a WM version 3.0, and look what heaven sent - the W902
i don't care if it doesn't have xenon flash, fact is, xenon would only be useful at night and its not even effective beyond a meter (from the subject) - i would prefer using a dedicated digital camera for that
its a long time coming for a Cyber-man or Walk-shot and the W902 leads the way with initial specifications that are simply too hot to ignore..
i still wish for the 3.5mm audio jack though.. i could forgive the rather conservative design but considering that i prefer symmetrical layout - this W902 design just fits the bill for me..

been with the old reliable W810, parted with it painfully and now i'm with K810.. this W902 is simply my old W810 and K810 rolled into one (minus the xenon, of course!).

I think SE is really stupid for not doing this. Not like W phones are using somekind of extra special very expensive sound chip... As you can see, ONLY SE separated the music from the pictures. Why? for more profit. Want pictures? get C series.. want Music? get W... Anyway... why does a W200 get the WALKMAN emblem? walkman is reserved for the high quality sounding phones. I bet that it doesn't sound better than my exK810; that is not a walkman phone. And why did the K550 deserved the cyber-shot logo; when sony made it clear "only the best of cameras will wear the cyber-shot logo"... It's a marketing trick. Look at other manufacturers: the N82 sounds great and is almost camera king. Same goes for samsung. Currently i swapped to G900, but soon i will pass to other manufacturer (Samsung or LG). SE is lightyears behind in technology.. same 200mhz processor in every phone. When will they realize it's not enough. Run a Gameboy emulator on P1 and on N82... you will see. I only stay with SE because of the menu interface, but when the new 8megapixel samsung is out, i will buy that. It has a dedicated audio chip for very good sound, a 8megapixel camera that takes incredible good pictures, and it's a smartphone with a powerfull processor. So i will have my "W+C" series in 1 phone. Muhahahahahaaaa
