To me 500+ posts still don't mean a thing. You can have 10 000 posts and maybe all you did was participate in the garbage threads. I know 'cause that's what I sometimes do to up my count. Silly, isn't it?
But what I've learned since the time I joined can't be justified by my post count.

A. All your posts are counted during the day at the time of posting however overnight processing counts how many of those were made in non counting forums (i.e. regional forum, mobile phone free forum and garbage forum) and reduces your post count by that number

By total fluke, I looked today, and it's been one year TO THE DAY since I joined and I've made 1251 posts (1252 including this one

I was a sad before lol, I had 500 in something like 4 or 5 months. Proberly less. 7 messages a day aswell before. Have not been on as much now though. Its only like 2 messages a day

I recall doing 300 posts a day in tandem with govigov. That was in circa 2004. 150 per day for each of us. Although that lasted only for a short period. Thankfully we got jobs!

About the "garbage threads don't count" rule, I actually agree with that, otherwise post whores with nothing of interest to contribute would be consistantly in the top 40 posters, which wouldn't really reflect the effort or value of their contribution.
Though I'm not knocking the garbage threads, I visit them regularly myself. But I just kiss the posts goodbye and accept that they aren't counted.
