i had better samples with elm...noise is there...and only having 64 iso it's at the sola's 5 mp 100iso...hayabusa does better at this type at macro having 50iso...hope mint will be KO...good not great!

Indeed some noise is there, but that's at full resolution - 38 mp. At 8 and 5 mp is where the 808 shines, and boy does it shine :-)
Colors are something I've come to admire at the 808 Pureview, very natural, not obscenely over saturated as most recent phones do. This combined with the fact that it doesn't try too hard to get that extra detail through sharpening (since there's more than plenty of detail due to the oversampling process) have made this camera one of my favorites.
You may, of course, compare the full res shots with ones from other camera phones, but when you look at the 8mp Pureview samples... there's just no room for comparison. For now at least.
(my 2 cents)

What makes you say I'm weird? The fact that I like the shots from the 808 Pureview? Well, they're good, thus I like them. And I also like the samples from the LT29i, whatever they'll end up calling it.
I think that the whole "Nokia is king" vs. "Sony is emperor" is outdated and leads to nothing but useless debates over photos. I'll agree with people saying that the 808 yields great results just the same as I'll say that I'm happy with the samples from the LT29i, waiting to see the final results.
There's no need to "take sides" here, and if the fact that I'm not taking one side but having good opinions about both sides is what makes you call me "weird" then I'm sorry to disappoint you but no, I'm not weird. I'm just not biased if you'd ask me. At least not too much, I still like Sony designs a lot more, but that's a matter of personal taste.
